Eat at Tasty Asia instead - this place is Bloody terrible. I have gone here twice. Both times it was mostly empty but nobody greeted me, nobody waited on me, nobody served me. In the front there is no sign that says "Wait to Be Seated" or "Please Seat Yourself" so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to wait at the front or approach the counter by the cash register. I went up to the cash register both times, but the person behind the counter was answering phone calls the whole time, never acknowledge me, never spoke to me, never even looked at me - I assume they were taking to-go orders over the phone. The second time I waited about 10 minutes, just to see what would happen. Nothing. Nothing happened. No one spoke to me, greeted me, nothing. I can't comment on the food or pricing because I was never served. My advice, go to Tasty Asia instead, they're always crazy busy, but they serve you quickly, are always polite, greet you when you enter, and they will give you your food faster than it took me to write this review. Sun Cafe, compared to Tasty Asia, is like wanting to ice skate but instead you slip on an ice patch and crack your head open on...
Read moreWe had a fantastic time at the Sun Cafe. In the first image, we ordered 1) egg drop soup, 2) vegetable egg rolls, and 3) shrimp spring rolls. In the second image we ordered 4) chicken lo mein (with added vegetables), 5) tofu pad Thai, 6) Thai fried rice with shrimp, and 7) hot tea. Everything we had was delicious, but the vegetable egg rolls and the pad Thai stood out the most (the sauce was the best pad Thai sauce any of us had ever tasted). The kitchen was very accommodating to allergies, and everything came out in a very timely manner. We could tell they were busy (as they should be) but we never fell through the cracks of their service, they came to check up on us frequently. The service staff were very friendly and kind, and we felt very welcome and appreciated there. The interior of the restaurant is very clean, modern, and well-lit. We brought home lots of leftovers because their portion sizes are huge despite the cheaper prices compared to other Chinese restaurants (which was very appreciated). I’m so glad they opened up in Longmont, the food and service is very high quality and we will definitely be returning again soon....
Read moreFood was tasty and lunch portions were good. My personal preference was probably the main problem and not their fault. I like bok choy, green onion, and pork strips included in my won ton soup. Theirs tasted good but it was just the broth and won tons. I like the cashews in with the sauce and vegetables for my cashew chicken. Theirs tasted good but I stirred the nuts in the sauce. Sticky rice and egg roll were good! My husband had moo goo gai pan and enjoyed his whole meal. Service was great. The cafe was very clean. Open ceiling so pipes and duct work make it noisy. Again, my problem, not theirs. I'm sure...
