Sorry for the 2-star Tangerine, I'm sure your Boulder spot is better but sometimes "franchising" is not the answer. Consistency, excellent service, and the food should be more of a priority.
As my girlfriend and I left, we both spoke about how we'd give the place another chance as we saw the potential of the food and service. If we were to experience that again, we'd never go back and there's no sense of sending friends to this spot for a 2-star experience.. People, stick with Aunt Alices, Janie's, Hidden Cafe, or Goodfellas.
Very disappointed in the experience my girlfriend and I recieved. On Oct 30th, 2022 we were told it would be a 5-10 minute wait. Soon after, we had been waiting for 35 minutes. My girlfriend previously had asked if we were still on the list, and the host ensured us we were. We saw numerous folks who had arrived after us get seated before us. So, we waited patiently.
Okay, the service. It was OK, not great. We were served lukewarm water (whatever.) My girlfriend ordered coffee and I stuck with water after noticing the $9+ mimosa's and breakfast cocktails. The coffee they announce they serve is from Salto, a coffee brewer in Nederland, CO whom I have had wonderful experiences with for 10+ years. The coffee was scorching hot, tasted burnt, and was very watery. Unfortunately, after the long wait we experienced my girlfriend burnt her mouth (Sure, this was probably her mistake) Our waitress, well, we spoke with her for maybe a total of 30 seconds the whole time. The only reason this is a 2-star review instead of a 1-star is because of our busser (I apologize, we didn't get your name.) The busser put smiles on our face after not being so happy previously.
The food, which I was most disappointed with. Typically, my girlfriend and I don't mind waiting 30+ min for a restaurant we were referred to. But in this case, I would never wait for 5 minutes for this place. I ordered the Bacon Arugula Benedict. The entire dish came out cold, almost as if the dish was made by mistake for a seperate party and was served to us. The hollandaise had saturated the english muffin, where it was barely existent on the benedict and EM soggy. The poached eggs, well, somewhere needs to learn how to poach some eggs there. Although, I may have gotten unlucky with my particular eggs, but that being said this place is not consistent. My arugula was wilted and dark, the avocado was spotty and dark, and again everything was COLD. I asked for a side of hollandaise, and that came out cold. Not lukewarm (which typically hollandaise is served room temp) but on par with it came out of a refrigerator. My girlfriends dish came out the same, if I were to dive into hers I would just be repeating myself. Anyways, you all...
Read moreI have a review from a month ago when I was doing doordash for them and was NOT pleased.. we decided to go as customers yesterday.
We were seating quickly which was a nice surprise because of how packed it was. The kids were bummed because the lack of choices for kid menu items and were hoping to be able to color. It didn't seem like s popular place for kids in general though. No big deal.
We got our drinks and ordered the food. The food literally took over 35 minutes. We ordered two pancakes and two burgers with fries. They did bring the kids' food out first which I was happy about. 35 minutes of listening to them tell me how loud it was and how bored they were.... Anyways.. my husband and I got our food shortly after and tasted good. The fries were great. Love a good brioche bun. Ranch cost extra. Also fine. We both ordered our burgers to be cooked "medium". Mine was but my husband's burger looked like they just browned the outside and called it good. He is a nice guy and never complains or requests anything to be fixed and he told me not to say anything to them. We tipped and left.
One month prior as a doordash driver-
Terrible customer service. I waited over 20 minutes for the food that was ordered online. It finally came out and the girl left it on the counter and no one would give it to me until I went over there and got it myself. Which is honestly fine, I'm a big girl but they all knew I had been waiting for it, why make me stand there and wait longer? I was not rude at all, I held open the door for everyone that went out, I smiled, asked politely. Didn't matter. Then there was a girl that was wearing her shirt as a belly shirt. No dress code maybe? I Then saw another girl moving someone's food around with her fingers. I hope it was hers. I'm not usually disgruntled. Just frustrated with the whole...
Read moreVery disappointing! We went with the hope that we would find a nice brunch place downtown Longmont. People were making happy sounds as we came in, but what we were served was sub-par. I ordered the 'Veggie Benedict' and my friend ordered the 'Puttanesca Scramble'.
The veggie benedict was cold with just a hint of hollandaise and very untoasted english muffin. The very small serving of breakfast potatoes that was unevenly cooked; some were raw and others were so over cooked it was on the side of burned due to the uneven sizes.
The puttanesca scramble seemed to be slopped on to the plate with little care. From my side of the table it had an off color. My friend said the flavor was okay but the temperature was not hot. She stopped eating it after finding the middle of the onion (about a 1/2 inch big) in the middle. Her english muffin also seemed to be untoasted and served with a jam that poured like a sauce.
We would have asked someone to fix the issues but our server was helping everyone around but us. For a brunch that cost us over $40 dollars it was not worth the money. I was thinking that this was the standard of the restaraunt, but as we were leaving I saw the beautiful food of the people around and just felt cheated. Not sure what we did that deserved the underservice...
