Roosevelt Park is truly the heart of Longmont and one of the city’s greatest treasures. No matter the season, there’s always something special happening here. In the summer, the park comes alive with awesome concerts that bring the community together — a perfect way to spend an evening surrounded by music, friends, and the beautiful Colorado outdoors. The pavilion is another highlight; during the warmer months, it’s a gathering spot for events and shade, but in the winter it transforms into a magical ice rink, complete with lights strung through the trees. Skating here feels like stepping into a winter wonderland right in the middle of town.
The setting itself is stunning. The park is filled with mature trees that light up beautifully in the evenings, making it a lovely place for a walk. The rose garden is unbelievable — carefully maintained and bursting with color, it’s one of those hidden gems that makes Roosevelt Park stand out.
Another big plus is location. Being so close to downtown Longmont means you can enjoy the park and then easily walk to restaurants, shops, and other amenities. And let’s not forget the Roosevelt Building on site, which offers basketball, recreation, and community space for all ages.
Roosevelt Park blends natural beauty, recreation, and community spirit, making it a must-visit spot for anyone...
Read moreThis is my favorite city park I have ever been to and that’s saying a lot. Obviously Longmont is not a huge city but this park has so much going for it! I absolutely love the lights in Winter and the skate rink. I don’t skate but having the crowd there at night means it’s very safe and well lit to walk around the grounds with a cup of hot tea or cocoa even after dark. In the warmer months the rose garden just never fails to be a great time. I love going here with my dog and the rest of the fam to walk and lay on the grass. I went once at night before the rink was up and did have a sketchy experience so be careful. I won’t do that again but during the day and in the evening when the skate rink is operational it’s a great fun time and safe. I think the restrooms are usually locked up unfortunately just to let anyone know who would need to be...
Read moreI absolutely love this place but it probably has to do with my fond memories of it. Some of my first dates with my husband happened here, and I even ate a sandwich that was egg yolk laden that he made me, and I would never eat egg yolk, but I did because I was with him and it was a special place and we were in the Rose garden. I love this little park and I will always think of it fondly, no matter how many homeless people threatened me at the bus stop in front of the place. Thank u Longmont for having such a wonderful little Park. If you ever have a chance please check out the Rose garden because it is dedicated to the people who help save lives during 9/11, and I think those people deserve as much help and support and love as they can possibly get as they did...
