Memphis Bar — Restaurant in Longview

Went a couple nights ago and they had some really good fried pickles. Nice spot to play pool or a game of darts. It wasn't that busy around 10 on Thursday night. There's a roomy atmosphere with plenty space to not feel crowded. The girl at the bar however, was rude to me it seemed. She said a total 2 words to me, "what", and "$6". I was respectful and courteous to her and I think she even rolled her eyes at me for no apparent reason. I've worked many years as a server and loved my job. I'd never treat a customer the way she treated me. Bless her heart. It's ok. I'm not mad at her. Matter fact I love her just as much as all of my haters. I had friends playing there on a Saturday night, I got there about 8:30pm the waitress never acknowledged me and I tried to get her attention several times and I was sitting with 2 friends....finally at about 9:20 we got a drink...it was very crowded at the bar or I would have gotten ours myself. Thankfully I ordered a bottle of water when I ordered my wine...she never ever asked us again if we would like another drink and I didn't leave until 1am...I was not impressed with the service and I have bartended and waitressed, it isn't the easiest job in the world....but to be ignored is rude. This place has highly questionable business practices regard the hiring of local bands. They have hired bands in the past and have told them to put up early and then shorted them on the agreed amount of pay. They did this to the band I play in and they have recently done this to another band. My guess is they have done this to more bands. This is an unacceptable, unethical business practice. When a price is agreed on between bar management and a band, that is what the band should be paid. We play every weekend somewhere and Memphis Bar is the only place that has ever done this to us. I don't fool with businesses with these kinds of business practices and I am done...
