Guntur Kitchen — Restaurant in Longwood

We ordered the mutton curry and chicken curry, and oh boy, the rice was so fluffy I thought I died and went to carb heaven! I'm pretty sure I've never had rice that perfect, it was like a party in my mouth! The flavor of the curries was ridiculously intense and enjoyable, like a flavor bomb just went off! The meats were so soft and tender, I could've eaten a whole elephant. We also ordered a dosa, which was literally out of this world, like a crispy little crepe from the gods! And don't even get me started on the mango lassi, it was pure perfection!

The restaurant was tiny with only three tables, but most people were grabbing food to go, because, priorities. The ones dining in were digging in with their hands, because when in Rome, or in this case, India!

Update Owner called and we spoke again regarding feedback on spice level and mutton. He was very apologetic and said they would take the feedback into consideration. He also refunded the money via zelle after speaking with me. I ordered the mutton (goat) breyani online on 5/23 for dinner. There was NO option to select spice level. My husband went and picked up. The mutton was burnt, hard and inedible and the spice level upset my stomach. ( I'm indian and couldn't tolerate it) I called and let the owner know and she offered to zelle me back the money for the food. My husband even called her a day later offering to bring back the food as no one was able to eat it. She said no worries and she would do the zelle refund. Well, 3 days later there's still no refund. As the name of the restaurant suggests if one is looking to cater traditional, home cooked, South Indian Andhra flavors, Guntur Kitchen is the restaurant to cater from. Family owned they cater for small and large gatherings. Prices are reasonable. They personalize menus and effortlessly accommodate off-menu items. Recently, last week of March 2025, I catered for gatherings of 70 to 175 from Guntur Kitchen a variety of food items from their menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Without fail every item catered, vegetarian, non vegetarian and desserts were flavorful and tasty. Food was delivered in a timely fashion. Success of a social event is good tasty food and my heartfelt thank you to Eshwar Garu and Rajani for making my event held at home and at Gaylord a great success....
