I am an Army veteran that have missed many special occasions in my kids life. I rented this building for my kids graduation celebration in Jun 15. Even though I confirmed before the date of the event, Donna and her Staff Raquel (I think they wrote on the emails) were almost an hour late to open the building which delayed my decorations and delayed my rental truck return and my arrival to the event with the kids. Which delayed the entire event as a whole. Even the surprise of gifting my son a car was ruined, but the dealership was great. But the employee Raquel claims she emptied my entire U-Haul truck by herself and and decorated my tables and I don’t know what else, which is a lie. Because of that, Donna refunded me 30 minutes for my troubles. Then I reached out to Mr Capizzi her supervisor to see if i could have a conversation and he refunded an additional 30 minutes and thank me for my service, like if that was something to joke about. As per his words they have no reason not to believe his employees, but they refuse to listen to the client. Or patron like he called me. And he said he would not respond any longer to my emails. But they were prompt to ask for my initial check of $792.00 and my second check of $1220.00 , if not they will cancel my reservation. But when I asked to speak to them, about it, they said a 30 minute refund will suffice my trouble. And who would replace the memories that were lost because of their lack of responsibility? They failed to meet their part of their contract, which was to be there at the time stated. When I had to adjust and cut 75% of the events in the party. But Donna and the staff states say that the event went smooth. How do they know? One they refused to have a verbal conversation with me, and they did not plan my event to see everything I had to cut off because of their late arrival. I even had to call the cops to try to open the building, because I was loosing my mind. The cops said they couldn’t help.

Do not rent this place. And if they are late, stop them from touching any of your item, if they touch any of your stuff, even though it was not with your consent or approval, they will only refund you 30 minutes for your troubles. Because your memories are not worth anything for them. Don’t worry about your anxiety, your tears, your mental health!

Interestingly enough they take down the low reviews. To say the least it makes sense this was the only place in town with availability and it definitely showed why. For one they showed up late to open the doors. Our event had to be set up by some guests because of the tardiness of the employees. Then to make matters worse they never took accountability for basically ruining the event. We had to start late and cut from the program because of them not being on time. When addressed about it they basically said because of their staff who was late the event started on time. This is a lie and I wish I could have access to any footage they have to PROVE this lie. It’s a shame when you have to pay extra for them to not even show up. And what an embarrassment of having guests arrive and then offering to help set up. If you want a perfect event DO NOT rent from this facility. It is a waste of your money, again proved why they were the only place available for this...

The Longwood community building is a wonderful venue for any type of event. From the outside, it has the look of a Victorian House in the most lovely shade of blue. Beautiful garden and porch where you want to spend a warm afternoon. When you walk inside, you’ll be surprised by the large event space. With wonderful hard wood floors and amazingly high ceilings, this space works for any type of event. The best part of this venue is Donna, the building coordinator. She knows the building inside and out, can help guide you about the options and really loves what she does.
