I recently had the incredible opportunity to experience the "Two Hour Glassblowing on a Torch for 2 People" at The Orlando Glassblowing Center, and can unequivocally say it was a fantastic decision! From start to finish, the experience was a perfect blend of fun, education, and pure enjoyment.

Our instructor was not only incredibly knowledgeable and patient but also had a knack for making the complex art of glassblowing accessible and exciting for beginners. He guided us through every step, from selecting colors to shaping the molten glass with precision and care, always prioritizing safety while encouraging creativity.

The hands-on nature of the class was truly what made it shine. We each had the chance to create two unique pieces, carefully guided by the torch. The process was surprisingly meditative, requiring focus and a steady hand, but the immediate gratification of seeing our creations take shape was exhilarating. It was a genuine learning experience, offering a fascinating glimpse into the artistry and physics behind glassblowing.

Beyond the learning, it was simply an incredibly enjoyable time. The atmosphere was relaxed and supportive, and we found ourselves laughing and marveling at each other's progress. We walked away not only with newfound respect for the craft but soon will go back to get our four beautiful, handmade pieces that will serve as cherished memories of our unique adventure.

If you're looking for an activity that's out of the ordinary, offers a rewarding learning experience, and promises a whole lot of fun, the Two Hour Glassblowing on a Torch for 2 People at The Orlando Glassblowing Center is absolutely worth your time. I highly recommend it – it's an experience that...

Went here as a family of 4 and took a class to make and receive 4 items. Paid $335. Once items are made, you have to either come back another day(open only 4 days), or have them ship you the items. I contacted them about shipping and gave them my address etc. Never heard from them for a week so I called back. 2 more days and multiple excuses and a guy calls me to take payment for the shipping. He said he would text me a Pic of the items and label to verify things were correct. Never happened so I sent a text again after a couple days. He said they would ship that day for certain. I get another text a day later saying he LOST the items we made.

So we wasted a vacation day at this place and $335 for them to lose or sell the items we made. They have a large selection of peoples stuff they sell out front if they "don't come back or claim it". What a great way to make money, "losing" peoples things while taking their money.

Go elsewhere and don't waste your time with these dishonest, unethical people who will run you around and thieve your money. I'll be filing a chargeback with our card company.

UPDATE: These clowns continue to lie. I have a voicemail saying he fired his employee. His employee made the first excuse his boss loses stuff often, then missed a day at a car dealership, then was doing a home renovation and lost the items. The dishonesty is off the charts. Check out the grammar and spelling issues from the "owner", tells you all you...

Saw this place online and decided to give it a try for date night with the wife. They have multiple options, we went for the 1 hour workshop for 2. With this option you can make a couple of smaller simple items or one of the slightly larger items each. My wife made a vase and I made a candy dish.

It started with introductions, and then a tour of the shop to tell us what things were and what they were for. Our instructor was excellent, he kept us informed and having a good time. He matched our humor level and made the experience so fun my wife has determined we will be back once they reopen. (They are shutting down for a short time for regular maintenance of the machinery.)

We got to pick our color(s) which they had a great selection of. From there our instructor went through walking us through the process. At no point were we expected to have a skill or know what we were doing. This was made for people that have no real experience in glass blowing, and we strongly recommend it. The people before us were a mother and teenage daughter.

The instructor did most of the work with the furnace, but we did get to work with it during the process and handle the pipes.

Honestly, we will be back for another experience. It was very much worth the value! Made a primary part of a date night.

The staff are awesome, and you can come back the next day to take your piece home. It needs time to...

Hottest & Coolest Date Ever 🤪 We booked a couples class at The Orlando Glassblowing Center and it was an awesome experience. Booking our visit was simple. We visited the website, purchased our package, then scheduled our date. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and upon arrival looked over our options of items we could make and saw the colors of glass we could pick from. My husband and I both chose to make bowls but there are many other items you can select. We received instructions on the entire process and then it was time to begin! My husband went first and it was awesome watching him make a bowl from start to finish. Then it was my turn. The entire experience was informative and hands on. The glass has to cool slowly after making your masterpiece so plan to go back another day to pick up your finished product. It was one of our most memorable dates and the bowls are souvenirs that remind us of the fun. They look amazing and it’s so cool that we made them. Don’t worry about your outfit…It does get hot so dress accordingly because you will get sweaty. We wore workout gear and we’re glad we did. We’re already planning to take our kids back so they can experience the art of glassblowing too!

We did the "Friends & Family Glassblowing Workshop" with Mitchel. WHAT A GREAT AND UNIQUE EXPERIENCE!!! Our group ranged in ages from 15 yrs through 70 yrs old. Mitchel was a great instructor. He led our group through every step of the way, explained everything, and answered all of our questions. Safety was also front and center, especially when working with molten glass! Our group never felt that we were in harms way. Our session lasted 2 hours and each of us got to pick either 1 large item or 2 small items to make. We were able dip the molten glass in color, blow air into the glass, and reheat the item in the oven. Afterwards, your finished glass artwork is placed into a cooling oven (which is at 950 degrees) and slowly cools the item over the next 12 hours so that it doesn't crack and break. You can pick up your item the next day and it will be packaged in a bag for you. I highly recommend this unique adventure for families, friends, couples, or even if your by yourself. It's a wonderful new experience that is different from anything else you will find in the Orlando area.

For my wife's birthday, we decided to try glass blowing. After searching, we landed on Orlando Glass Blowing. Our expert guide tonight is Mitchell McCormack. With more than 20 years under his belt, he led us on a cool glass blowing journey. Some dear friends went with us so it was a party of 4 and that went quite well. Each person went individually and finished prior to the next person starting. So, larger groups might want or need additional distractions. You start by picking colors and / or patterns for your glass project. There are plenty of options. You can make a beautiful paper weight, flower, pint glass or a chalice flower vase, ornaments lots of ideas. Mitchell did a fantastic job of explaining what we were doing and provided guidance at each step. Working with such high temperatures can be challenging, so everyone needs to pay close attention. Highly recommend. You will need to go back the next day at the earliest to pick up your creation. The glass needs to cool slowly, or it will be extremely brittle. Go and have a great time.
