I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 7 years. When I worked in the area, I came multiple times a week—without fail. Even after moving, I’ve continued to drive all the way from Daytona to Longwood, sometimes weekly, never less than every other week. That’s how much I used to love this place.
Unfortunately, things have been going downhill over the past year. The food, which used to be consistently excellent, has become hit or miss. Some days it tastes like the old quality I remember, other times it’s bland, dry, or clearly rushed. I’ve stuck it out because I really valued this restaurant. But this last experience was the final straw.
On our most recent visit, we had a waitress we’d never had before—tall, very thin, and apparently has worked there a while. Normally we’re served by Ont, who is outstanding and always makes us feel welcome. But this time was a total disaster.
I ordered my usual: Pad Thai, Thai hot, just like I’ve done for years. Instead, she brought me a medium version and told me to just add pepper flakes if I wanted it hot. I politely told her no—I always order it Thai hot, and I wanted it made that way. She took it to the back and brought it back absolutely buried in pepper flakes and seeds—to the point where it was crunchy and completely inedible. I told her this isn’t how it’s normally prepared.
She took the plate—and then just vanished. Never asked if I wanted it remade. Never checked in. I had to flag her down after 10 minutes of watching her standing around talking to another staff member. When I asked if anything was happening with the food, she gave me attitude and said no. Only when I explicitly said I still wanted my pad Thai did she finally go to the kitchen.
Ten more minutes go by, and she comes back, slams the plate down, still medium heat. No apology. And she completely ignored the other people at our table. No drink refills, no check-ins—nothing. It was one of the rudest and most careless dining experiences I’ve ever had.
After all these years, to be treated like this—and to watch the quality slide so far from where it used to be—is incredibly disappointing. I’ve never left a negative review before, but this crossed the line. I won’t be returning anytime soon, and sadly, I can no longer recommend this place the way I once did. It also seems like they are now prioritizing online and Togo orders over customers sitting in the restaurant. Be warned. Completely ashamed to have sent so many people to then restaurant...

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 7 years, making the trip all the way from Daytona Beach because it was always our favorite Thai spot. The food used to be consistently good, and the service made us feel welcome. But sadly, the experience has changed—and not for the better.
Recently, we’ve noticed that even when we request different spice levels or make specific requests, our plates come out looking and tasting exactly the same. It feels like everything is being made in one big batch, with no care for personalization. That attention to detail, which once set this place apart, is now completely gone.
We also used to love being served by Ont—he was always kind, attentive, and professional. We’re not sure if he still works there, because lately we’ve only been served by the female staff, who are fine, but not particularly memorable. However, today we were served by a very thin woman (I don’t know her name), and the experience was shockingly poor.
She never refilled our waters unless we asked, didn’t get our spice levels correct even though we each asked for something different, and seemed indifferent throughout. When my husband requested Thai hot for his usual Pad Thai, she told him to just use the chili flakes from the table—something no server has ever said before. When he insisted on having it made properly, she took the plate back and clearly just dumped chili seeds on it. A minute later, the same plate was returned—nothing freshly made, just covered in raw chili seeds that ruined the texture and flavor.
He asked again if it could be remade, and rather than respond with any empathy or politeness, she simply asked, “Oh, you don’t want it?” and took the plate away without offering a solution. We had to flag her down again just to request the food be remade. When it came back, it still wasn’t spicy, but by then we were too tired of the interaction to care. No apologies, no refills, no “thank you” or “you’re welcome”—just cold, dismissive service that felt almost hostile.
We’ve dined in many places across different countries, and this was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had. After hundreds of visits over the years, we now genuinely question if we’ll ever return. It’s heartbreaking to say that a place we loved for so long has let things slide so far.
If there was an option to leave zero stars, this experience...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying that I love everything about the food of Thailicious, and I hope the owners see this. If you are looking for any Thai food, whether it's Pad Thai, Green or Red Curry, they are exquisite. There is very good flavor and plenty of food for each dish. The dining experience is on very genuine to Thai culture in a smaller setting and gives you the environment of a "home cooked meal".
My only gripe on the location is the smaller parking spots for larger vehicles. Though this adds to that "hole-in-the-wall" feeling.
Usually I order takeout, and have had no problems up until tonight. I called to complain about my order, and the manager on-site at first did not want to help me with my concern. Told me that he would call back -- which he did. He told me he'd partially comp the meal and then he'd take care of us the next time that we'd come in. I told him I'd prefer to have the meal tonight and his response was to come in.
As soon as I came in, he brought me the food and started to be confrontational with me. Saying "Why didn't you bring in the food for exchange?" when he told me on the phone to not worry about it and to come in. He then proceeded to belittle me of explaining the difference in spice levels and "why you shouldn't order it that way" in a very condensending tone. I understand he was very young to be a manager, but I don't appreciate being spoken to like a child.
I can say that I've been brought up to standards of most ethnic cultures, often asking for their hottest version of food (Thai Hot, Indian Hot, Etc.), or even buying Ghost Pepper Chilis when cooking my own food. I really don't appreciate being spoken to like I don't understand spicy foods. My wife is the one that asked for the lesser of spicy, and even I would admit that it was beyond your usual Mild/Medium.
In no way am I saying that anyone is perfect, which is why asking for a replacement is culturally accepted. I just simply asked to be treated respectfully when asking for my food to be made right. I, too, deal with thousands of customers a year, and I will admit when I'm wrong....
