Got a Cinn. Swirl muffin, they have a bunch of other food items like Jalapeno Bagels, Banana Walnut muffins, etc. They also have protein shakes, breakfast items like burritos, and really good coffee. I got an 1862 which is a latte with cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom, very good and not too sweet. The Cinnamon Muffin was good, but relatively bland overall. Got my muffin really quickly and my coffee was made within 2 or so minutes and the employee was pretty nice. The atmosphere is great if you like more modern coffee shops. Probably not super ideal as a coffee shop to go to and hang out for work due to the very few outlets, but the atmosphere seems to be a mix between cozy and industrial, seating isn't too bad, just bare in mind the chairs are neither wood, nor cuisioned. Overall 14/15. Not the best pastries in the area, but still a good choice if you need a speedy coffee and want to check out and support...
Read moreThe two of us stopped in for breakfast and coffee while the kids were busy down the street. We got an iced latte, a cold brew, two burritos and a pumpkin muffin. The pumpkin muffin was ok, but excessively crumbly and couldn’t taste the browned butter. Iced latte was fine, but the cold brew was terrible - my guess is they brewed it extra strong to pour over ice (which dilutes it to proper strength), but just chilled it without the dilution. The breakfast burritos were made with POWDERED EGGS! (I was military, I know that nasty texture/taste). My 12 yo showed up later and I gave her half of my burrito - she took one bite and put it down because she said the eggs tasted weird. She got a blueberry muffin and said parts tasted raw. Overall we paid over $50 for two people and had a stomach ache...
Read moreThe wife and I decided to stop in to Smithville before we headed out to the little farm pumpkin patch with our two boys in Loomis. I ordered what I always do hot coffee, cream, and sugar and I got the "chunky monkey" shake for my wife. The coffee was Excellent! The cashier is the one who recommended the shake for my wife so I had to ask her where they got their coffee. She told me they had recently changed their beans and are now using some branded called Temple Coffee... I have no idea what that is but you better believe I'll be googling it lol. The real star was the shake though! I didn't know they had that option but we were told they are extremely healthy and would give that extra bit of energy we needed for the farm. They were right and it tasted damn good!! Thank you Smithville we will...
