Update: on a recent visit I spoke to manager and I mentioned this review as we were having a conversation. I asked about the care and service I received on the day and they admitted to having teething pains with training some of the new college age kids they'd hired. Service has improved markedly since! I've amended the ratings to reflect this.
I recently visited Taylors with my three-year-old daughter to celebrate her birthday. We're regulars here, so it disappoints me to have to post this....
Unfortunately, my daughter's order was forgotten, despite being placed along with the rest of our party's orders. When I brought this to the staff's attention and showed them my receipt, they insisted on examining all the items they had served us to verify our claim. This felt unnecessary and undermined the principle of "the customer is always right."
After reluctantly agreeing to recheck our orders, they eventually realized their mistake. The kitchen staff had accidentally given my daughter's order to another party. Although the manager apologized and offered to remake her plate, the experience didn't end there.
Regrettably, another 30 minutes passed before I had to remind the cashier about our forgotten order again. They promptly apologized for forgetting it YET AGAIN and prepared a new one, but the delay and inconvenience left a sour taste in our mouths.... especially as my daughter had gone an hour and 15 minutes without her order.
Overall, while the staff were apologetic and ultimately rectified their mistake, the experience could have been smoother and more...
Read moreWhen you see a place offering a giant list of flavors for ice cream/milkshake they are literally the same kind of dessert with little or not too much alterations. When I came into Taylors, I was not expecting 150+ flavors of Milkshakes!!!!! They also do have food but since it was a long day, I opted to get the milkshake only. We ordered fruity pebble milk shake and Banana cream pie milk shake with utter butter added in. You at least need like 10 or 15 minutes to look over the menu and decide because when I wanted something, there was something else that caught my eye and back to the drawing board I went. They were closing soon so I just went and combined two of the milkshakes together which yes you can do! There are two sizes, regular which is about $4 and large which is about $5 or $6. It took about 5 minutes to get the milkshakes The fruity pebbles tasted amazing. It was creamy vanilla shake mixed with fruit pebbles. Tasted like a cold version of fruity pebbles! Banana cream pie tasted exactly how it should taste! Banana flavor with hints of cream added in with the same consistent creamy ice cream. I have only been here once but you can bet your butt that I will return! This is the store that brings all the boys and girls to the...
Read more$$ This little town hangout/burger hut was filled with an abundance of everything! Way too many flavors of shakes; some flavors were not self explanatory, for example....Tha Ant Hill. ..??? But by the time you order you hastily forget all the ones they didn't list ingredients to. My major malfunction was the fact that $6.25 got you a regular sized shake. In some places it would be called a small! No frills included! Even Carl's gives you a 🍒 and whip cream. It was definitely crowded, always looks busy so maybe it's just this penny pinching whip cream loving girl tripping. And of course with ice cream there's kids........LITERALLY everywhere. Right up to the parking lot there's little ones running about , mostly unsupervised and a bit chaotic. I don't go out to eat much but I'm pretty sure that was not my type of scene. It appeared to be a sort of high dollar Dairy Queen. I most likely won't be returning, unless I become wealthy and have kids......again! And those 2 things don't ever join forces...
