Happy's Pizza — Restaurant in Lorain

I want to love this place because I love the taste of the food but they keep ripping me off. Story time: The last time I ordered from them was the very first time I ordered from them. I got a 4 piece fish and chips dinner box with a small cheese pizza, light sauce, a Greek salad, and like a box of fries. There was no sauce on the pizza (which was okay) but we only got 3 pieces of fish in the dinner. It's fine. We loved the food anyways. Well tonight I ordered another cheese pizza (regular sauce), garlic butter wedges, a tossed salad with only lettuce and cheese, and a 4 piece fish and chips dinner. But this time I asked I asked if I could add more pieces of fish - to be sure we got enough. I asked how much it would be to add 4 more pieces (so 8 total) and he told me it would be $10 More dollars (the dinner is 4 pieces of fried fish with fries for $10.99). I said okay so what about just 2 more pieces of fish and he told me it would be $5 more dollars... For two pieces of fried fish the size of my palm (and I'm a small lady). It's fine though, we like the food so I said okay I'll do 2 more (so 6 pieces total). I picked up the food 30 minutes later at 11:45pm and took it to the house (less than 3 minutes away)so everyone could eat but I then left to pick up some things from Walgreens on Leavitt and would eat when I got back. I got a call from my partner on the way back who told me that the "salad" was just cheese. He sent me a picture and I passed the house up to try to get to Happys go see if anyone was there. Luckily even though it was 12:10am there was still 2 men inside. I jumped out of my car and told the men that I needed lettuce with the cheese salad and he said there WAS lettuce. I showed him the pictures and I said "it's pretty much all shredded cheese as you can see". He chuckled and said that he made the salad and he should know and pointed at the picture which was clearly a picture of shredded cheese with some pieces of shredded lettuce here and there. His friend/coworker said nothing but had a little chuckle as well. I've never felt so unheard and embarrassed in my life. I thought, how could he be looking at this picture and really think this is a salad? It was a clear plastic container of mainly shredded, white cheese. If I can post the pictures I will but I am not seeing a place for that. He then asked for my number and name and said I could come back tomorrow and get a refund of $5.99 for the salad (but I do believe it was only $4.99). I then went to Walmart on Leavitt since it was the only place open at that hour and got a bag of salad. The salad was for my daughter so of course I had to get it somehow, you know? I get home and ask how the food is, everyone likes it. I ask how many pieces of fish were in the box (because my partner and I were to share the 6 pieces) and he told me 5. I tell him that I paid $5 for 2 more pieces so that we could have 6 (3 per person) and at that point we're both...

Management was very kind and very Professional. Thank you Management for correcting the mistake. I had a problem while with an order I got while passing through Ohio. I called the store on the same day and the man I spoke to said ",keep your receipt": and the next time I come to the Lorain Ohio area I can get the order replaced. I said anytime? The manager said anytime I'm in the area and just keep my receipt. I kept my receipt. 10 1/2 months later, I called the store and they told me to call Corporate, I did. The woman who refused to give me her name was so rude, very disrespectful and even tried to insult my intelligence. She made several attempts to be little me for calling corporate 10 1/2 months later. I said I don't live in Ohio, when I made the purchase I was passing through. She then transferred me to a voicemail. Never had I been so disappointed from a corporate office. At least Tia at the store was very kind and and very professional. But not that woman in corporate. Will never go to another Happy's because of the rudeness and unprofessional of the Woman who took my call. You don't ever be little or put down or disrespect a customer. Be careful ordering from here, they make undercooked pizzas. I was almost done with my first slice when I noticed it smelled and tasted like raw pizza dough. The cheese lifted up and under it was literally raw dough. You could mold it and shape it, that can't be safe to eat! The bottom of the crust looks fine but it just didn't cook all the way through. So disappointed, hope my kid and I don't get food poisoning. My roommate said they always make their pizza like that... yeah I had to break it to them pizza should not be like that and they shouldn't be eating that. They thought their pizza just had a chewy crust😭 If they are consistently delivering food that isn't safe to eat... how have they not been shut down yet? Food safety regulations keep being violated. Please check under the cheese before eating. They can never seem to cook their pizzas fully. We've spent so much $ here... probably lost their most consistent customers. Rib tips were alright, sometimes they taste great, sometimes the meat taste off so it's a hit or miss. Management needs to have a meeting with the cooks to figure out how to resolve this pizza mess and they need to double-check food is fully cooked before giving it to people.
