Ordered delivery from here last night via Postmates and honestly, Olive Garden would've been a better choice. Starting with the one slight positive, the pesto sauce on the gnocchi was pretty good but not a true pesto. I'd give that about a 7/10 just based on flavor. However the gnocchi was slightly overcooked and a bit too soft, borderline mushy when eating it. Next, the spaghetti al pomodoro was disgusting. Not to drag anyone's name through the dirt, but it literally tasted like it came from a can labeled "Chef Boyardee" and cost about 10x as much. My apologies to Chef B for the insult. A common phrase for the water when cooking pasta is to "salt it like the sea." This tasted like it was salted like someone has uncontrolled hypertension and about to stroke out (in other words, none). The spaghetti had the flavor of a sheet of printer paper. It's texture and consistency seemed as if someone pulled it off the bulk discount rack from the dollar store and then overcooked it so that it would stick to your teeth with every bite. Proper pasta of any kind needs two ingredients, Caputo flour and eggs, yet somehow this was too hard. The pomodoro sauce had about as much flavor as a used car tire. It had maybe a slight hint of tomato and that was about it. Even that pathetic excuse for pasta sauce known as Prego would have been a preferable alternative. If I had ordered this in the restaurant, I would have sent it back. Would not recommend. Next in line is the side of meatballs. I've had better frozen meatballs from Costco. These were a terrible texture, almost rubbery in nature when biting in. The texture actually made me think they were, in fact, frozen and thrown in the microwave to heat up. I don't know what mix of meat or spices they use to make them, but they were dreary at best. The marinara they were served in was the "highlight" of the dish and even that needed help. In order to not spit out every bite, the addition of Trinidad Scorpion pepper hot sauce was required to enhance the flavor and make them palatable. Just like the spaghetti, if I had these in person, they would have gone back. Also would not recommend. Finally, our dessert was missing. The bag came stapled shut from the restaurant so I can only guess they forgot to put it in. That was the one and only issue that was remedied by the people at Postmates with a refund. In conclusion, being of Italian descent, and having recently been to the Fatherland itself, this establishment should be ashamed to call itself "Trattoria"-anything. The only acceptable name I can think would be, "Trattoria Merda." I would not eat here again. Awful food, overpriced (at least via delivery), and items missing. If you're looking for a good Italian dinner, go to L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele instead (and no, I don't work for them). The end,...
Read moreThis Friday October 29 2021 I lived one of the worst experiences of my life inside the restaurant with the owner Cheff Angelo. He descriminated against me denying me to enter and serve me and my friends that we were going to celebrate my birthday. The only reason was because within the group of my friends was his exwife which he has 2 children with him and he does not provide enough attention which the children need. His excuse was that he did not wanted to see his ex-wife because he did not wanted to inconvenience his new girlfriend which is the Lady that he left his ex wife for, that I understand was in the restaurant and I said this because when his girlfriend is not there he does not have that attitude towards his ex-wife. I think it is very , very unproffessional. He even pulled my mask and pulled it down aggressively towards my chin . With this I want you to know the kind of person the owner of this reastaurant is and I do not recomend it at all! I would recommend him not to have this kind of attitude towards his clients just because it could bring him problems...
Read moreAngelino runs a beautiful little spot featuring some classic italiano dishes and a lovely ambience complete with burnt orange lighting and a playlist of old american songbook classics.
i’ll start with my one complaint, which is that the crust on the gourmet pizza selection was a little bit crackery because of how they do their dough. but other than that, everything was lovely: fettuccini ragu was delicious and al dente, the arugula salad was perfectly balanced, and the pistachio gelato for dessert was perfectly complex and rich with tones of almond and truffle. we also loved chef’s vibe as he came table to table to chat and hang w the crowd.
overall it was a little pricey, especially re: the wine selection, but what isn’t these days? but that aside, it was a wonderful dining experience and i will definitely be back to try some of the more...
