So I really wanted to like this place but it fall short in a few ways. First when you spend $135.00 without tip and your still not full portions are EXTREMELY SMALL. The short rib taquitos had about 3-4 SMALL pieces of short rib maybe an ounce of meat in a hard crunchy shell with black bean puree. Try something else this wasn’t worth $14. My lobster tacos were bland very little taste. But it did have more lobster meat than the short rib taquitos by far and had more lobster than the pork belly taco too. However the pork belly tasted really great, just EXTREMELY SMALL PORTION. My husband had Bronzino which he said tasted very good I didn’t try because the dinner portion came with 1/2 Bronzino and no side dishes so he spent another $12 on side of rice and beans. Over all would I go back, not for a sit down dinner but might order the pork belly taco for a take out, and eat them at home. Our waiter Carlos was nice food came out extremely quick but I felt ripped off and being a French trained chef I understand portion control but this was very very small portions for the prices. Good luck staying in business guys with this economy and your portions being sooooo small. Try just a little bigger portions you might end up with a...

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would, I don't even know where to begin for this review.

First of all, a friend and myself got food poisoning from the ceviche served as the special. When it was served we both noticed the fish was much less than fresh. I got so incredulously sick I had to call out of work the next day. To say the least I am absolutely repulsed that I ever ate anything from here.

Furthermore, when attempting to contact this restaurant to inform them they served me food that caused me to become ill, I was NEVER emailed back. I also attempted through social media, where I received a reply and was told my issue would be resolved, but alas it has been 2 weeks now and I have heard nothing through their social media. My last straw was directly calling and I was told instead of just receiving my refund, that I could come back to the restaurant and eat or drink for free. I would NEVER eat there again and to think a restaurant would try to offer that option after making a customer SICK is so vile.

Absolutely disgusting food, absolutely repulsive customer service. DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE VOMITING ALL...

THANK YOU, Cascabel, for the wonderful, welcoming service and great food! We loved our orders and you were so friendly and courteous: we were immediately greeted and warmly tended to, upon arrival (received warm 'hello's as we walked in). Your good service was timely: we had just come in, fresh from being rudely turned out at Ernie's Mexican Restaurant just a few blocks away (Please read my other review about Ernie's). Needless to say, your service was much-needed after the sting of being treated so terribly just moments prior at Ernie's. In contrast, Cascabel was a bit of a haven for us! Just a small note, though, that although plates are delicious (and in some cases, EXCEPTIONAL!), volumes are somewhat small and a bit pricey for what you get. Therefore, be prepared to spend a lot more if you're a little on the gluttonous side, like me! You won't exactly be getting more bang for your buck at Cascabel, but at least everything will be wonderfully delicious and beautifully appointed. And in spite of us closing down the house, staff never hinted on pushing us out or being inconvenienced. Thank you again for taking good care of...

My family and I love this spot. We even went back a week later after our first visit to try other items. The restaurant is hidden (you walk up and alley to get there) since it looks like a back house and its surrounded by density offices. We found it because it was advertised in the Taluka Times. Fantastic food! Super fresh and delicious variety of flavors. The first time I got the branzino and the second time I shared three different tacos with my mom. We also tried desserts and drinks. The chips and tortillas are house made and it shows, they are wonderful! Service was also friendly and informative. Our server was super helpful and made everything sound delicious! The restaurant atmosphere is also beautiful, with fun designs on the walls and pleasant seating. There is lots of indoor seating, bar seating, and an outdoor patio. Great spot to bring friends, family or a date. We were very pleased both times we went and definitely plan to go again!

Very beautiful restaurant! And perfect for date night. Our server Jason was amazing and helped us make our decisions for dinner and dessert. We started with the mushroom and kale flauntas chips salsa and guacamole it was all really good. For entrees we had fried chicken tacos with the hot honey sauce and it was good and also the short rib tacos which were AMAZING!!!! The meat was seasoned so good and very tender. The tortillas you can tell are made fresh and in house. They were so good. We ended with dessert the crustless apple pie it was ok should have gone with the flan. I can’t wait to come back here. We went around 430 and we were the only ones in the restaurant but around 530 it started to get busy and a little louder. Loved the ambience it was so romantic dimmed lights and intimate.

This place is soo good!!!! I went there last night for the second time. For apps, we got the queso, guacamole, short rib taquitos, and the hamachi ceviche. For the entree, I had the duck confit tacos which were cooked to perfection and topped with some goat cheese. I also had the skirt steak which was cooked to perfection and topped with a brown butter demiglace that kind of reminded me of mole and pickled onions. The picture is of the skirt steak. It came with the most delicious handmade flour tortillas. My only critique is that I wish that they had some ice cream which would have been a great ending for my dinner. Added bonus is that they have a parking lot (granted it’s a tight squeeze but I’ll take what I can get lol) and it’s FREE!
