UPDATED REVIEW: GUYS WHAT HAPPENED?! last few visits have not been the same... food inconsistencies - recently i received an undercooked shrimp taco, a not crunchy fish taco, and watery esquites ordering issues - the POS is super laggy/slow, so placing an order takes a long time. I've also received the wrong items or have had missing items my last 2 visits general vibe - the self serve salsa bar was my favorite, I'm not kidding i have a pic of it in my camera roll. It was once an immaculate, well stocked area with fresh radishes, abundant salsas, etc. tonight it was nearly empty, spicy mayo was out, and a sticky mess I really really hope they can return to the quality and service from when they opened! As many Los feliz-ians know, this storefront is somewhat cursed (nothing stays there long), but i am very much rooting for Baja CA Tacos to be the exception! PREVIOUS REVIEW: my fav taco in all of LA is their hard shell shrimp taco, it is sooo insanely good. I also like the fish taco, hard shell potato taco and carne asada taco ($1.5 on taco Tuesday). have been here weekly since they opened! salsa bar is iconic, with cilantro crema, spicy mayo, a spicyyy red salsa and lots of radishes and grilled jalapeños! sauce girls will freak finally something amazing has filled the cursed former cugurt spot!! I'm so happy and full of shrimp tacos!

Baja Cali is an absolute gem! The food here is bursting with flavor and made with such fresh ingredients—it truly stands out. I ordered the shrimp taco, shrimp ceviche, and aguachile, and each bite was delicious and full of zest. I’d easily rate my meal a perfect 10/10. My sons went with the chicken quesadilla and cheese quesadilla, and they were both really happy with their choices, giving them an 8/10. Meanwhile, my daughter ordered the asada torta and was completely blown away by how tasty it was—she even rated it a 12/10 because she loved it so much! The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the service was quick and friendly, making the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be returning here for more amazing meals, and if you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Baja Cali. You won’t regret it—it’s a must-try spot for delicious, flavorful food!

1 - hard to find ceviche, aguachile and Baja style Mexican this part of town. 2 - lathe shrimp ceviche tostada is generous in portion size and with the avocado. 3 - this is a modest place but worth of calling it a “joint” in the best authentic meaning possible.

I had the 2 fish tacos combo. They were delicious! Generous fish portion. Crisp batter, loads of fresh cabbage and pico as well as a very flavorful crema. There was a large variety of soda options to select from. There was also a salsa and condiment bar. The salsa was fresh and delicious. Lots of radishes, escabeche and fresh grilled peppers to choose from. It was so good I got the aguachile tostadas to go for later. The inside has tons of seating for small and large groups. The decor is ok, but once you’re eating you’ll only want to look at your next bite! The customer service was fantastic. The people were so friendly and helpful in explaining the menu options as well as the daily specials. And the prices!!! You can feed an entire family for under $20. I’m...
