The experience was just okay. The ribs and mac and cheese lacked flavor—almost as if they were hesitant to season the food properly. The ribs didn’t have the smoky, grilled taste I was expecting, more like they were oven-baked rather than slow-cooked on a BBQ. As someone from the South, I’ve had my fair share of authentic soul food and BBQ, and unfortunately, this place didn’t live up to the hype that its reviews promised. Considering the price, I was hoping for a more flavorful experience. You’d think they’d offer more complimentary sauce, but that wasn’t the case.

I was also expecting charred or barbecued wings, but instead, they were just fried wings with barbecue sauce. They were still flavorful though, and probably the best item I ordered.

As for the mac and cheese—DO NOT ORDER. If you’re familiar with soul food or Southern comfort food, you’ll know this isn’t it. It was probably the most disappointing part of the meal.

On a positive note, the customer service was great over the phone, and they were punctual with the order. Since it’s a pick-up only spot, I can’t speak to the atmosphere of the place.

I had a fantastic experience picking up food from Belly Rubb - Ribs, Wings & Sandwiches with my future brother-in-law. We each ordered a full rack of beef ribs—he got the Signature BBQ Glaze, and I went with the Sweet & Spicy Glaze. He also grabbed a side of grilled sweet corn, while I opted for the Pear Gorgonzola Salad and Pineapple Slaw.

Right from the start, we were impressed with the presentation—the ribs looked incredible, packed nicely in their own aluminum tray containers. Walter, the owner and cook, personally brought out our food on a rolling cart VIP-style, which was a great touch!

As for the food itself? Absolutely delicious. The ribs were tender, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. My future brother-in-law couldn’t get enough of his, and I thoroughly enjoyed mine. The side of BBQ dipping sauce and pickles with jalapeños complemented the ribs perfectly. I started with my salads to prep my digestion before diving into the ribs, and both were fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced.

Finding a spot that serves a full, succulent rack of beef ribs nearby is rare, so Belly Rubb is a true gem. I’ll definitely be coming back for...

I had the privilege and opportunity to have lunch at Belly Rubb in North Hollywood with Troy. He surprised me with some beef ribs that were absolutely phenomenal. The ribs were seasoned to perfection, boasting a wonderful signature taste that set them apart. The meat was so tender it was falling off the bone, and the product presentation was impressive.

Although I was too hungry to take a picture before diving in, I can attest that the food was fabulous. Alongside the beef ribs, the sides of corn on the cob and pineapple coleslaw complemented the meal beautifully, adding a delightful balance of flavors.
