No longer going to this location anymore thanks to the lady at the register. I’m never one to leave bad reviews for la raza but this lady really did it for me, amazing food don’t get me wrong, go to their other locations for better customer service though. First off I went on a Sunday (6/9/24) and I got 6 queso tacos and 4 chicken tacos, hence the attached picture the chicken tacos should be $1 on Sundays. I am told 15 minutes for my order so I go to my car and have a moment of realization that I was overcharged for the tacos. So I go to the window and ask her to give me a breakdown for the prices and she tells me the chicken tacos came out to 3 something and basically 4 dollars with a “service charge” whatever that means. So I tell her hey I thought the chicken tacos were $1 on Sundays to which she responds YOU DIDN’T TELL ME YOU WANTED THE TACOS ON SPECIAL. To which I respond “what is the difference between other tacos I paid for and the $1 tacos like is there a size difference?” To which she immediately responds rudely NO THEY ARE THE SAME BUT YOU DIDN’T ASK FOR THE SPECIAL SO YOU WERE CHARGED FULL PRICE. So I said “I did not ask because the sign says Sundays Chicken tacos are $1 so I figured they were going to be immediately charged as $1 the way your special says so I was unaware I had to ask to be charged that price as it doesn’t say so on the sign and I genuinely thought it’s an automatic thing” again she rudely responds and tries arguing once more that I did not ask for the special. As we were discussing this the customer that had already purchased his food and was sitting down behind reviewing his receipt to make sure he wasn’t priced incorrectly which then causes her to immediately ask me if I wanted my money back she can perhaps return it to me. I said no it’s fine I’ll just take the amount of tacos in price difference. So you charged me about 12 or 13 dollars or so in chicken tacos so minus 4 dollars from that and you owe me 8 chicken tacos. To which she immediately responds LET ME SEE YOUR RECEIPT and as I hand her my receipt she does not take it but rather goes on the computer and states WHATS YOUR NAME and starts doing her own math stating the tacos are at a different price and a little more because of her nice again “a service charge” so according to her calculations she owed me 5 tacos. So I said fine just give me the five. As I’m waiting for my food, she begins yelling at her two employees who are clearly working as hard as they could and yelling at them that the man had been waiting almost 30min where is his food???? LET ME SEE THE FOOD BACK THERE ARE WE RUNNING OUT OF THIS SHOW ME THIS SHOW ME THAT COME ON GET HIM HIS FOOD AND RESTOCK ON THAT. Her simply degrading them like that and not even bothering to put on some gloves and help them was the tip of the iceberg for me to write this review. Another girl who came stated she ordered her food since 7 on the phone and asked the lady where her food was since it was almost 8 and the lady responded with WE DON’T MAKE YOUR FOOD UNTIL YOU ARRIVE AND PAY. The girl then stated that she had told her on the phone that the food would be ready in 15min so why did she not tell her that on the phone. To which again the lady gave a rude response. Don’t get me wrong like I said great business however bad experience at this location and you should visit their other locations. (Side note the conversations with the woman were all in Spanish but translated to English for further...
Read moreNever have I ever. Had such luscious consommé de birria. MacReeves and I wanted a light repast as it was about 100 Fahrenheit in the Valley and only a savage beast could eat a normal sized lunch in such hellish weather.
We ordered a taco dorado, vampiro and a mulita (the latter two being corn tortillas with melty cheese and birria cooked on the griddle to a crispy molten delight) between the two of us. We dipped each bite in the molten consommé elevating the inherent umami goodness of each dish. The pickled red onion and red chile salsa also added additional flavor notes of spice and acidity to an already multilayered explosion in the mouth.
Scotty MacReeves regretted not ordering more but I told him it’s always best to leave yourself craving more.
Pro-Tip: Later that night we dipped hot fresh pizza slices into reheated consommé and found it to be the gustatory sensation of the year. Like French dip...
Read moreWe went to the truck in Northridge and I am very disappointed in the customer service that we were met with. The food was decent but the employees forgot to give us a horchata that we paid for. These mistakes happen but she made us show her every single one of our receipts in order to prove that we had bought three horchatas. She seemed reluctant to even give it to us and did not apologize for her mistake at all. Additionally, the horchatas were filled to the top with ice and for a pricy 5.25, it was a complete scam.
