We had a wonderful brunch yesterday, Sunday morning. They don’t take reservations so just plan to arrive and wait a short time if you have a group of more than 4, however it was just the 2 of us so we were able to be seated right after arriving for a 10:30AM brunch. Service was pretty quick and casual, we had two different waiters take our drink order and our food order, but the items came out fast and sitting out back in the covered, heated patio was a nice way to spend a Sunday morning. They have a very large menu for both breakfast and lunch so there really are a ton of options to choose from. I started off the meal with a Butter Croissant and really enjoyed it. It was fresh and fluffy and came with a side of jam and butter. For my entree I chose a personal favorite of mine that is located on the lunch menu, but is also served for breakfast: the Croque Madame. Petit Trois still has my favorite in LA, but this one is probably in my top 3 overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely order it again. Overall a great French Bistro that serves up a great breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Parking in the area is pretty easy, but plan to do street parking because they do not have a parking lot.

I came here with my friend to catch up and we loved the food. Since it was a Saturday morning there was people arriving but just as they seemed to arrive the wait time was not bad. My friend was running late so they waited until she was there to give me a table (understandable). We were then directed to the farthest part of the patio section, which is not as pretty as the main one but a least we had a table. I think the lavazza mocha is AMAZING! My friend perfectly described it as an “adult hot chocolate”. I decided to order the Le Paysanne omelet with ham, gratin potatoes and fruit. My friend ordered the brunch special which was a croissant with cheese and egg with fruit and French toast (though it looks like a pancakes). We both enjoyed our meals and my friend gave me a bite of her croissant and it was delicious! The staff was nice to and didn’t try to rush us so we were able to catch up. We just had such a good time and such a yummy breakfast, we will both be dreaming of that mocha.

Our trip to Café Laurent was excellent. I received a free mocha for my birthday, and service was prompt and attentive. The food was delicious as always (I had a custom Sweet Crêpe, and even though the menu doesn't list caramel as an option for the custom crêpes, they allowed me to choose it). All servers and cooks continue to wear masks, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Because of the torrential rain, the patio seating was closed, and we were stuck with indoor seating that was a little closer than I'd prefer. However, despite their indoor seating area not being very large, they seated us as far from others as was possible with the crowd that came in. Nor did they attempt to rush us despite the aforementioned crowd. We ordered a to-go meal in addition to dining in, and they had no problems accommodating two separate checks, and having the to-go meal ready just as we were prepared to leave.

Decided to check this place out when family was visiting from out of town (so we were a party of 4). Bad choice. The relatively tight space and French words in the menu hint at the Frenchness of the restaurant but neither the food nor the service deliver: Took a while for the waiter to arrive and take our order. They input the order into a tablet, so you'd think there's a provision for recording who ordered what, yet when the food arrives, the waiters just yell out the names of the dishes. Inelegant. The food: we ordered two omelettes, a waffle and a crepe Suzette. The omelettes were very messy. They looked like they were made in a tiny pan, so they were very thick, then those very thick omelettes were folded in two. The result: ugly an unappetizing. Tasted just ok. The waffle spread with Nutella just looked sad and ugly. I ordered the Crepe Suzette, which was the biggest disaster ever. First, the crepe is made with pancake batter which is just spread more thinly. That's cheating. Don't put both pancakes and crepes on the menu if you are only making crepes! Second, my crepe came out white as a sheet of paper. I was curious and took a bite: it was undercooked pancake batter. Ew. In addition to undercooking that pancake, they must have forgotten to flambe it, because it would have had some burn marks otherwise. I sent it back, and the replacement came out when the rest of my party finished eating. The new pancake was just as undercooked but had burn marks from the torch. Conclusion: Denny's quality of food and service at higher prices in a tighter space. Next time I'll go to an honest American diner that does not call pancakes "crepes", has booths, and can make...

• Difficult street parking, especially during brunch hours • Complimentary French bread is perfect in texture and taste • Unclear if live music is a regular occurrence on Sundays • Indoor and walled-from-street outdoor seating is available. • Eggs benedict was mediocre. 3 eggs special was above average. • The restaurant is a possible tourist and date magnet • Restroom is a longer-than-average walk from the indoor dining area. Closer to the outdoor dining area

Parking was difficult, the small lot had

Hidden Gem, small quaint cafe with exquisite deliciously prepared dishes sadly they only serve breakfast & lunch, although the presentation of meal never been big deal to me, however after trying several different items from their menu it does seem to add to the taste. I only got food to go one time it to was tasty but somehow not the same.

The service is good but at the same placating to add I felt rushed, on a couple occasions the busboy/waiters rudely reached over the person whom I dining with while still eating to retrieve my empty plate without asking first. Although perturbed I ignored the intrusion a few months after the same thing happened this time I brought it to the attention of waiter while paying. I still tipped him but immeadately regretted it because I knew that this common practice because the Cafe seating capacity was limited but very popular because of the great food. I felt had I not tipped him and let him know would be a good lesson. The atmosphere is cramped but being outside on the patio made it bearable, they also have inside seating but it too us small. I keep going back because of the excellent food mainly the breakfast, and the mindset to just tolerate the...
