Captain's Sub Shop — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Captain's Sub is a treasure in a cove. If one was driving by, you would miss it. What a loss, as, indeed it is a treasure. It is located in a little mall tucked into a corner. Please treat yourself to this place.

The place is run by a shy quiet woman. She keeps the place in tip top shape as well as the kitchen. I would call her the "Captain", as, she keeps her eyes on everything. The place is very clean, the food is fresh and great. The place is not loud or garish. It is a great place to share a meal with companions and be able to have a conversation. It is a good place to read and feel relaxed.

When my family and I go there, we leave very satisfied. When my daughter drives in from Irvine, Ca, she want's to go to Captain's. One weekend we went there and were VERY disappointed, they were closed on weekends.

The parking we have found is good. My daughter has a high end car and worries about door dings. She does not have to worry, as the parking spaces are wide enough and easy to park.

There is a good variety on the menu and the prices are more than fair.

If you claim that you are famous for your philly cheestakes know how to make them. I was driving by and saw the PHILY CHEESESTEAK banner by the road and decided to stop by. This is a small eatery that tries to please everyone with all types of food in the menu. Getting inside It smelled old and the air was stale. The table cover was sticky where I was sitting. The price of $12 was ok and the service was fast. What I got was not looking great. I ate one half and threw it in the trash can.
