I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I regularly order their breakfast burritos for delivery or take out on mornings after fun, late nights out. When they get it right, it’s SOOOOOO good. But unfortunately, there’s a 50/50 chance it turns out not great. The Madre sauce is a delicious, creamy hot sauce concoction that comes in a tiny plastic to-go cup. Definitely not enough for an entire burrito. You need 2 min. Whenever we order delivery, no matter what we say or do, we often get less than 1 sauce for each burrito. We put it in the notes. We order and pay for extra that never comes. We’ve called after placing the delivery order and asked them to make sure we get 2 for each burrito. Nothing works. So we’ve been doing pick up now so we can get the 2 ramekins required for each burrito. On to the burrito itself: If you don’t ask, the don’t thoroughly mix the filling. You end up with egg on one end, potato in the middle, and a clump of bacon and a small glob of beans in the last few bites. So we always include that in our instruction and again it’s 50/50 that it’ll happen. All the ingredients are super tasty (why we keep coming back + that sauce) but in a burrito all the fillings should be evenly distributed throughout so each bite is varied and delicious. The worst part is half the time the burrito is poorly wrapped and doesn’t hold together. The whole allure of a burrito is being it being a hand held pocket of yum. The attached pics are of my latest burrito. There’s a huge gash on one side and the other shows that all the ends are just mushed together and not expertly wrapped. I had to eat it on a plate with a fork and knife because everything just fell out. I keep going because it’s close and when it’s good, it’s...

Cerveteca is a hidden gem for taco aficionados, seamlessly blending traditional flavors with a modern twist. Upon entering, the vibrant decor and welcoming atmosphere promise an authentic culinary experience, which Cerveteca undoubtedly delivers.

The star of my visit was the Carnitas tacos. Each bite was a symphony of succulent pork, perfectly seasoned, and cradled by homemade tortillas that were both tender and flavorful. It was one of those rare dining moments when you wish you had ordered more, not because of portion size, but because the experience was so delightful.

Accompanying my meal, the horchata was a revelation—creamy, perfectly sweet, and infused with just the right amount of cinnamon. It was refreshingly authentic, serving as the perfect palate cleanser between bites of the rich, savory tacos.

No visit to Cerveteca would be complete without indulging in their churros. These weren't just any churros; they were a dessert epiphany. Crispy on the outside, yet soft and airy inside, each piece was coated with a divine blend of sugar and cinnamon. Dipping them into the accompanying chocolate sauce was the culinary equivalent of a warm hug.

In summary, Cerveteca is more than a taco shop; it's a celebration of Mexican cuisine, where every dish tells a story of tradition and passion. A must-visit for anyone looking to satisfy their cravings for authentic, mouthwatering...

Once again, so glad I read about food because I never would've known this place had opened near my apartment! I walked over on a Sunday night for dinner with a friend.

FOOD: baja fish taco - very good! Really crispy, not too oily or heavily battered with this super good sauce on top veggie taco - black beans, corn, bell peppers, guac and some other stuff. Very good! The tacos are all made with homemade (I think) corn tortillas that are delish! plantains - very good. Not overly sweet and served with this sweet-tangy crema

They have a variety of salsas, the hot one is actually very nicely spicy and the medium one is a smoky salsa.

SERVICE: Friendly! The girl who took our order was very helpful with recommendations and our food came out quickly.

VENUE/PARKING: You order through a window and your food comes out through a pick up window. There's counter seating along the side and a decent amount of tables. We walked over but parking should be easy enough to find along Venice and on the side...

DISCLAIMER- THIS IS IN NO WAY A BAD REVIEW!! Y`all please beware!! If you have the intension of enjoying TACOS and BEER. This. Is. Not. The. Joint!! Unless you BYOB. Which this girl certainly did. If you`re also asking yourself why is this establishment called CERVETACA when there is a lack of the pre-fix …CERVEZA. Which is what a friend of mine which I will credit and call by the name of Turtle Cowboy :) I proceeded to ask the burning question to the very friendly cashier and her simple response was " There was an original Cerveteca which sold beer. This one doesn't." There you go folks!! Nothing climactic about this review only to unmask the FALSE PROPAGANDA. WHICH I GOTTA REPEAT... IS IN NO WAY A BAD REVIEW. But if you enjoy a cold one and tacos this might be an unpleasant surprise.
