Massage Garage — Local services in Los Angeles

I have loved the massage garage and gone as often as possible since moving to Culver 4+ years ago. Really bummed to wrie this as i'm not one to typically write reviews, rather resolve any issues over the phone. Recently impossible to get someone to answer the phone or return a voicemail asking for an appointment, which has led to me walking in to make an appointment. I did this on Friday night- made massage appointments for Saturday AM, and the receptionist/esthetician asked if we wanted to add facials as she'd be doing them the next morning, so we said sure why not! We got home Friday night, and then got a phone call saying she booked massages for the wrong day, saturday was booked solid, but did we still want facials. We said sure, and then quickly realized it wasn't going to work for us to not receive treatments at the same time. We called and left a voicemail as all this happened close to closing time Friday, only to find out Saturday AM we'd each be charged $25 for late cancellation for the facials. I spoke to a different receptionist, who didn't know what had occurred Friday night, but said it was up to the discretion of the receptionist/esthetician who incorrectly booked us. I’ve been needing a deep tissue massage for a while now. I have chronic pain in my back and shoulder from a wreck 6 years ago and chronic pain in my feet from various injuries. In addition, I work at the airport pushing wheelchairs so I walk about 5 miles on each shift. I spent time reading reviews and settled on the Massage Garage because the price was right and they offer packages, which I will subsequently buy after my experience yesterday.

The staff I communicated with were very welcoming and communicative, which I appreciate very much. DeMarius agreed to use my homemade hemp pain relief topical, which I wasn’t expecting him to be able to do, and I am very grateful for. I am absolutely blown away at his technique and ability to know where my pain was. I say was because last night was the first night in years I have been able to sleep through the night without waking up to pain in my shoulder. I can’t say how thankful I am for his ability and attentiveness. I have little to no pain today and my only regret is waiting so long.

Love Massage Garage!! Such a hidden gem. With most of the masseuses, quality feels like a high end hotel spa massage, for a much more attainable price. My partner and I try to go once a month, and wouldn’t be able to do that if prices were higher. Generally easy to schedule a massage with a week’s notice, except for a few of the really in demand providers. Always feel so relaxed after their deep tissue massage.
