I've been looking for a place to get a facial for a while and I never knew how to decide on where to go. Past experiences at other spas left something to be desired - it was usually the atmosphere that felt off. The setting was either too clinical, or too unprofessional. This left me feeling hesitant to book a facial appointment for over a year.

In terms of treatment I don't need anything crazy that requires downtime, but I also don't want something ineffective where I feel like they're just rubbing stuff on my face. I want something that leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed, and done in a welcoming environment.

I came across Formula Fig after seeing some cross-promotion with other places I frequent. But due to previous experiences at other places, I didn't rush to book an appointment. After following their IG for a few months and learning more about the company I felt confident booking a facial here. They have the right mix of facial options and provide a comfortable atmosphere. It feels client-centric w/o bank-breaking prices.

After completing my Collagen+Texture Treatment here I can say that they knocked it out of the park. From the warm welcome by their front-desk staff, to the knowledgeable and assiduous esthetician - Malaika, they have curated a thoroughly considered experience.

It's the right mix between ultra high-end and accessible. I didn't feel out of place or uncomfortable. That's to say they weren't uptight but were still highly professional.

Parking wasn't difficult to find as there are several parking lots within walking distance. But I will say to plan a few extra minutes into your schedule, especially if it's a sunny day out, as there are lots of attractions/businesses in the area that could make things congested.

Definitely best 30 minute facial I’ve had. But obviously not as in depth/detailed as I am accustomed to. Because of the length of the service and the brisk nature of it, I can’t in all fairness give it higher than 4 stars. However, this is no reflection of the execution, rather the concept as a whole. I am a bit old school in the sense that I like to change into a spa robe, and get a more cozy and well rounded experience when having a facial treatment. Which does make me think twice in regards to value and price point. Nonetheless, it was a relaxing treat. Kiana and the staff were so friendly and kind. I did leave feeling a bit more lubricated than I’d prefer, but my esthetician said she had massaged a mask for me to wear overnight. And she even packed me a sample of it along with a couple others goodies to take with me, which I appreciated. Everyone was super nice & the price is great - my service was relaxing and informative. I got the All-In facial. However, my facialist performed pretty aggressive extractions, including one on a barely to the surface pimple. Given it was my first facial, I trusted my facialist despite having a bad feeling about the aggressive pressure being put onto a not ready pimple. I believe this is a cardinal rule of skincare, and an esthetician would've not performed this extraction.

My skin now is broken and bloody at the point where my pimple is & will scar. This extraction actually created a hole/patch where the pimple was. As I have darker/medium skin, any scars last a while and this is a bummer considering summer is around the corner. I walked out of the facial with a bloody dot on my face that was significantly worse than when I came in.
