Located in the 103rd shopping center between Subway and Popeyes, Chinese Express unfortunately doesn't live up to the expectations. As a Watts native, I can confidently say there are better Chinese food options out there. We really need to raise our standards and stop settling for mediocre food and hyping it up. The chow mein was drenched in oyster sauce and oil the noodles were slimy. The “orange chicken” tasted heavily of cornstarch and came with wilted cabbage mixed in—who thought that was a good idea? The combination with sweet and sour sauce instead of orange sauce was just puzzling. I ordered orange chicken… And the fried rice? It was incredibly bland. Overall, I would not recommend look elsewhere for a better Chinese food experience.

The menu at Chinese Express offers a diverse selection of classic Chinese dishes, ranging from popular favorites to traditional staples. Whether you're in the mood for savory stir-fry, comforting noodle dishes, or flavorful rice options, you're sure to find something that suits your taste buds.

I don't understand how this place got a good review. The inside is a mess. The cashier is rude. The food is not good at all. The chicken tasted stale. I have been wanting to try the place because of the reviews thinking this is a hidden gem in the hood. It's not. Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews. I'm sure you can get better Chinese food at any other place.

The cashier was rude I asked for extra soy sauce just one package she put her hand up shood me away, and proceeded to help the next customer and that's after I tipped her because I believe in tipping because people work hard. The food was cold there were many flies flying around the restaurant and on the food. I asked for a refund and she did not give it to me food was over priced for the quality, so I gave the food to a homeless person and I went to another establishment. The food is too high and there is trash I mean lots and lots of trash all around homeless people laying on the buildings it's horrible. I suggest that you all do not go here you might get sick. I'm not saying it out of spite I'm saying it out of concern for people's personal care and health please do not eat at this establishment they're not clean at all and...
