I worked at everytable for 3 years, 2 of those as a manager. I was unfairly let go from my position a few momths ago by the area manager of the Watts location Estrella Aguirre due to her not liking me. Her reason at the time she fired me was because I disrepsected her and used explicit lanaguage towards her but she could not tell me what I ever said that was disrespectful or explicit. After being let go she gave direct orders to the employees there to not give me the HR number as I told her I planned on filing a complaint. I had to go through the general customer service to be able to contact HR and when I finally was able to get in contact with the them but received no help. The representative Timothy Navarathnaraj shows me my termination letter weeks after I was let go and the reason for termination on the letter is that I was late a few minutes a few days for that week which differs from what Estrella and Timothy originally told me. Also me being late was a horrible excuse to use as I had a lead at the Watts store who had started in January and had called off more times in 3 months of working there than I did in 3 years. On top of that there were multiple employees in different locations who would show up over a hour late multiple times and even had no call no shows and they were not fired. The week before I was let go Estrella had asked me to cover for the lead mentioned above and I told her I couldn't and she hung up on me immediately and days later I was let go and I know that was the final reason she gave herself to let me go even though I had already covered multiple shifts withing those last few weeks. I also have not received my pay for my vacation hours which Estrella told me twicd the day she let me go that she'd make sure I got paid out for it. She never did and ignored my texts asking about the pay and when I asked HR about it they completely ignored any talk about my vacation hours and stopped replying to my emails. I have had to make wage claims as well as a retaliation claim due to the fact that HR completely ignored me and I still have not been paid months after being let go. Aside from me being let go Estrella is not fit to be put in a position with such responsobility as she constantly would talk about other employees behind their back and would involve her personal feelings constantly in to her job. She had told me once about how one of the area managers and had no money in her bank account and would talk about anybody from the leads to the franchise owner. I was disrespected in this company and did so much for them from doing multiple full shifts when someone would call off to taking food to different stores because the fridges were not working. I hope for the better of the company that there are changes internally because there was a lot of work that...
ย ย ย Read moreEdit: important note, they appear to take EBT. If I had EBT I'd consider this place the first stop for any prepared meal.
Firstly the service here is top notch, Kelly and Luis were friendly and you never feel like someone is watching over you or pressuring you.
This place is less of a restaurant and more of a storefront for packaged meals. Nothing here is above $10 and your food gets increasingly fancier as you get to $10. That being said it's similar to what you find in Japan, where a shop makes bentos (boxed lunches) and you can either eat in the store or take it home.
The food here is exceptionally fresh (it's apparently made the night before and delivered in the AM), but the portions are just fair, about 400-700 calories for any given dish. The meals are constructed to be healthy and cost effective and their menu will rotate any given week. However if you are looking for enough food to send you in a coma then it might not be here, the portions are what id consider 'fair', but not small nor large.
They operate a meal delivery service which is actually a fairly good deal considering what you get.
The place itself is very clean and spartan, lots of seating to eat your meal, a nice place to hang out and relax. They also have a surprising variety of sodas, from kombucha to niche offerings like this Mexican mango chili soda.
I don't mean to overstate how pleasant what is essentially a few tables and refrigerated shelf is, but honestly in a city where you cant even get a burger for less than 9 bucks outside of in n out, it's refreshing to be able to feed yourself decently for a...
ย ย ย Read moreThe food is bomb, however, the portions have dramatically shortened as opposed to when I first started coming here 3 months ago. They dont like to put a lot of spinach in any of the dishes and the dishes with Salmon in it are more expensive then the other dishes, but have less food. I also noticed that the sauce is being calculated in the weight of the food when initially they used to separate the sauce. This could be why the food is seemingly portioned differently. I like the company and what they are doing, and the quality of the food, but the portions dont always add up.
Lastly,a few times I came, they were randomly closed with a sign on the door saying they would return later. I believe they should transition the shifts to overlap so when one person can take their 30 min break without having to close the...
