I came through here on 8/12/17 at approximately 9:45. Nobody responded at the drive through window. I assumed the intercom was not working so drove up to the window. I saw that their was another customer outside the front door complaining to the manager inside that it was not 10:00pm yet so why were they closed so early. I then noticed that the closing time was 10:00pm on Saturdays and it was just now 9:50pm. I banged on the side window until the manager came out motioning that they were closed.
I said but this place does not close till 10:00pm and it's not 10:00pm. She responded "Well, we're CLOSED!" I asked "But WHY? What is the reason you're closed early?" She just rolled her eyes and walked away.
I banged on the window again asking "I want to know WHY you are closing early today?" She responded saying "I'm going to call the police!"
I said "You have got to be kidding me. I'll tell you what I'm going to report this because clearly you have no business being a manager. You don't own this place, you just work here and you have to follow rules like every other employee. You don't get to just close whenever you feel like it because you've got a party to go to on a Saturday night!"
Let's do a bit of MATH Churches Chicken Management. You PAY these employees to work a certain number of hours including closing time. They are on the clock and this is so that you can make MONEY ...from CUSTOMERS!
A (belligerent and rude) manager decides to close 15 minutes early just 4 times a month. (Saturday when she (or he) has a hot date ...or for whatever reason.) Of course the subordinate employees are all complicit. This adds up to a minimum of 4 employees STEALING 15 minutes apiece which comes to 1 HOUR of stolen time per incident and 4 hours per month. You also have to factor in the lost revenue from that 15 minutes of closing early AND the lost revenue from disgruntled customers who not only do not patronize you again ...but tell others AND complain ...as I am doing right now.
If we factor in a total cost of labor at $25/hour = (Salary; Benefits; Insurance; Taxes; Liability; etc) x 4 that is $100 per incident in labor cost. Factor in another $150 in lost sales. Another $250 in lost future sales and you're up to a realistic and reasonable $500 per incident.
Multiply that x 4 incidents per month that is $2000 per month Multiply that x 12 months that is $24,000 per year
Over 10 years that is $240,000 in revenue LOST all because some rude, belligerent manager like the one at 8531 S Figueroa St decides to close early on an average of just ONE day a week ...probably thinking it's no big deal.
Just double that to an average of 2 incidents per week instead of one and there is OVER a half MILLION dollars in lost revenue. It's actually FAR more than this and these numbers are VERY conservative because I shall NEVER ever go to this Churches again ...and will be sure to spread the word about both the rude and belligerent manager and her callous response when a CUSTOMER asked a legitimate question. "I'm going to call the police!" WHAT!!!????
#1) The one and ONLY way the police would even come at all would be if she just blatantly LIED and implied or stated that there was a perceived THREAT or imminent danger.
#2) IF the police showed up and I was still there ...if ANYTHING at all happened as a result of this callous manager's actions and falsification of a police report just WHO do you think would be LIABLE? ...CHURCHES that's WHO!
Sorry but I seriously do NOT trust people like this to prepare, handle nor have ANYTHING to do with anything I am going to consume. NO...
Read moreI went here after a quick casting casting call for my son I pulled up to get my usual okra when I'm in the area yes. I quickly saw that they had banana pudding now me being a sweetie I wanted to try the banana pudding. I was very eager to try the banana pudding OK OK let's begin the review of the banana pudding. I got a small banana pudding which I am glad that I did I took the lid off there were 3 neatly placed nilla wafers on top. I grabbed my fork dug in it was what I thought it would be it was really the actual banana pudding a little sweet for me but it was flavorable . It got the job done but I wouldn't take it to the "family cook" out if you know what I mean. I have my six-year-old in the car waiting to devour it which he did he really enjoyed it enjoy it if you are a true banana pudding person then it will be an "OK" dish. I looked back at my six-year-old and he was scraping the banana pudding cup. So to sum it up it was OK don't get the large if you wanna just test the...
