So there's a new Starbucks in town and everyone goes to it but those people don't realize what they are missing out. I've been going here for 4 years now and I can honestly say WOW! First lets start on a few things you need to know first. This place is primarily for teens and adults because you are allowed to smoke/vape here but only on the outside patio that's towards the street and away from the entrance. Second, the owner here is really cool! I would come in after months of absence and talk to him like not a day has gone by since I last been here, the hospitality is that great. Also the greener on the patio is very nice especially at sun down when the decorative lights turn on. Speaking of the decorations, this place has so much character and reflects the owner's personality. There are really cool paintings that range from pop art to a more pastoral style but they change over time. But the best part is that HE PAINTS THEM HIMSELF!!! Stuff like this make places like Starbucks seem sad and lame. But the FOOD... The drinks include coffee's, smoothies, tea's, and boba. Pastries include a small variety of cookies, donuts, bagels(if you count that), and other sweet treats. There is also breakfast sandwiches, pastrami sandwiches, and others but the menu is complete and as extensive as any Starbucks would have nonetheless more unique. Bagels and pastries are soft, warm, and satisfying. I don't drink coffee but I'm sure it's great. Smoothies are a creamy, cold, goodness and an absolute delight on a warm day. The boba is similarly very delicious. The boba, along with the smoothies share the same themes of not being too overpoweringly sweet like Starbucks drinks are. I'm telling you that the flavors are a perfect balance of sweetness and actual flavor where a drink's flavor profile from Starbucks would just be a bunch of sugar and regret. The sandwiches are big and meaty, not cheap, they'll run in the $5 plus range, but beats the value of Starbucks's $10+ overpriced packaged foods filled with sodium and saturated fats. So if you actually read this it should come clear to you that Starbucks is inferior in almost everyway one thing that I would admit, us that the seating here isn't as plentiful and chairs rock a little bit. This place is also not really the place to study (but I've done that plenty of times), it's more of a place to chill and relax, I say this because the table space might not be enough to do work such as writing and using a laptop. But other than that support this local coffee place and give it a shot, you won't regret it!
My recommendations: • plain bagel (has a very nice texture) • literally all bobas and smoothies my go to choices would be the Taro boba which is an outstanding drink and the strawberry banana smoothie • the Turkey Pastrami Sandwich is incredibly nice, it's served with a sour dough bread and two pickles, which is also very nice. It's also decently size too for what your paying for.
I would give you the owner's name but it's better for you to get...
Read moreFree Wifi is a bonus, outside veranda for smokers & other patrons who enjoy being out doors near busy Foothill Blvd., underneath a string of XMAS lights and big canopy umbrellas, sitting around bistro tables on metal chairs. Family owned & operated business & the owner often has his little daughter & her friend in for a visit & they'll play the retro, full-sized video arcade machine or sit on the counters close to their father while he serves up pastries, ice cream (also available), coffees, teas, lattes, and smoothies too! I have completed both school & accounting work there using the Free WiFi just soaking up the tranquility it seems to have compared to every Starbucks you've ever been to, with it's wall-to-wall people standing in lines to order their coffee drinks. This place may not be all that busy, or very well decorated & trendy but there is always a place to sit and minimal waiting if you are in a rush. Sometimes though, due to the other businesses in the strip, the parking can be scarce in front of the coffeehouse though. But, in that case, there is ample parking behind the Chinese Restaurant way in back against the freeway. One last thing, pretty good place to take someone you actually want to have an intimate conversation with or maybe even not have to shout at to be heard at the other venues. I'm...
Read moreCan't rate any cause I didnt have the chance to try any, no food no service nor atmosphere. Yesterday while I was working nearby I searched on Google maps something quick to eat and a coffee and this location pop up right away, and obviously I was not gonna go if the place shows as closed, then i decided to drive and grab a bite, when I got there turns out that the place was close, I checked again the biz hours and it says open , that was between 11:30 and noon , cant really remember the time I arrived there, but anyway it was close, I wish the owner can fix the schedule, local people might know when they open or close, but I guess many others were in the same situation, now for many people might be ok if they know the business hours but not for everyone. Please...
