Rok n Sushi — Restaurant in Los Angeles

It was my first time here, and my last one. I will never come back. Service and sushi were good, but prices were not. It wasn’t about the actual prices. They had one prices on the menu and when I asked for a check, they brought a check with higher prices on every item I ordered even a beer. This is the first time ever happened to me. I didn’t mind paying those prices on check but this is not okay. This should not be happening. It’s scamming! I called up a waitress and just normally asked if she was aware of the difference. She was so so rudy. She said that the prices on a check were included a small fee for a credit card transaction. I was way more confused at this point. How did she know that I’ll be paying with the credit card if she just gave me a check? Was she assuming I was paying with the card or she was just automatically added more so she can charge more? I asked her this question and her answer was priceless - she said that she doesn’t know, she just works there. Great! I asked if a manager was around. She answered super rudy that no, manager will be back on Monday. Well, I’m not coming back on Monday,...

I cannot emphasize enough how terrible the service is. I’ve given Rok N Sushi plenty of opportunities to redeem themselves and each time they fall short. My wife and I have ordered at the restaurant and eaten there multiple times as well as ordered pick up and it’s the same story. At this point I think they have exhausted the chances I was willing to give them. The staff there is incredibly slow and have zero work ethic. They act like it’s a fun place for them to hang out, but in reality this is their job. They are being paid to wait on us. The most recent time we went our server stood there holding our plate of food talking to the chef behind the counter about a PERSONAL matter... not business related at all... for 5 min before she brought the food over. Luckily it was sushi or it would’ve gotten cold! Anyways, that’s my rant and I went on way longer than I hoped to, but something needs to change. It’s almost as if there is no manager on staff. I’m not sure what the problem is. Just don’t go there. Such a waste of time. And if you’re thinking about giving them a second chance: don’t.

We walked in and nobody spoke one word to us at all. We stood there for five minutes and still no one came over to seat us or help us. I walked to the back to get wla waitress and as im walking another couple walked in who was immediately greated and seated. After i got the waitress we ordered four rolls. It took them fourty five minutes to deliver our order which was a to go order. I was a few people that came in after us eating there food and finishing meals. During the wait not one waitress came over to speak to us about what was taking so long or even ask if we would like a glass if water while we wait. I asked the waitress what is taking so long with our order? The waitress informed me that a big order came in after us which they filled first. Then we finally got our order. One of the rolls we ordered was a shrimp tempura roll. It was a California roll with only two pieces of shrimp on it. To sum it up the service was horrific and the food was not up to par especially with the amount ofvmoney we spent for the four rolls we payed for. Needles to say we will never go back to this...
