The first thing I did when I arrived was play the claw machine (I love the claw machine! đ) and idk if it was our motorcycle helmets or our smiles which made the manager look at us like we were pissing in his garden but he wasn't very inviting. No one offered to seat us as we sat on the bench. I attempted to get change for the claw machine by buying a shake but they insisted on (at that point) seating us because I did not want the cheap Styrofoam "To-Go" cup, I wanted the Denny's classic thick shake which always came with the silver mixing cup straight from the machine, ice cold and still halfway full of thick ice cream. When it arrived it was thin like straight milk. I think very little ice cream, if any, was put in this milkshake. I brought it to the managers attention and he only mentioned this to our wait staff, he didn't offer to replace the item or remove the charge from our bill. On top of this, my friend was in the restroom washing his hands when our waiter stepped out of the stall and exited the restroom directly without washing his hands. And that's not the end of this horror if an experience... When we ordered our onion rings I pointed at the desert section stating that we hadn't decided on that part yet. The waiter walked away saying "sure" to my request for ranch and then said "and one lava" it struck me as odd but I thought nothing of it and went on with finding out which desert my friend would prefer... We decided on the apple crisp unanimously and I found the waiter to let him know our decision. He said he "just put in" the order for the lava and I couldn't change it. I was like what?! That struck me as wrong for more than one reason. Anyways, after consulting the manager whether he could change the order he grudgingly did. When the crisp arrived it was burnt to a crisp! I mean to the point that neither of us even wanted to try it. I still sit here writing this long review and our menus are still on the table, we have not been checked on, nothing refilled, and no one has even inquired as to why we haven't touched our desert. I really feel like walking out, it's not like I will be coming back to this establishment. But I can't walk out cuz I still want to play the claw machine...lol j/k But to wrap up this triad I will now review succinctly... This was the worst experience I have EVER had at a Denny's in my life. I do not suggest anyone come here. I would feel sad for you if your standards were so low that you actually enjoyed...
Read moreWe arrived around 10 pm and they seated the people before us and took their order right away. We got seated after them and it took them about ten minutes to take our order because they said âwe were taking our timeâ even though we were all mostly ready , one person just needed a few more moments. It took us another 15 minutes to get our drinks which was a kidâs soda , pink lemonade, coffee , and water. Three different servers were confused taking our orders because it took that long and they questioned if we even have our orders taken. Then a party of 5 , that arrived 20 minutes later after we were seated , was seated , took their order right away and they got their drinks all within 5 minutes. Frustrated, we asked for our order to go after waiting 30 minutes to be served. We waited for 15 more minutes to get our food to go , but the party of five was already eating their food and the party seated before us (arrived after us) already finished eating. While waiting for our food to go , I nicely asked the server what was missing from our order and she said it was our fault for taking too long to order while the party of five ordered right away and thatâs why it was taking long to prepare our food. I told her it took them 15 minutes and three confused servers to take our orders even though we were all ready to order a couple minutes after being seated. And she blamed it on being understaffed and us taking a long time to order , which I told her I understood being understaffed because I also work customer service and thatâs why we tried to be patient and understanding with all the confusion and slow service. And not to bring race into this but the two parties served were hispanic and weâre asian. The other asian family seated barely got their drinks 20 minutes into their seating right when we left. Iâm also infuriated from their service and racial discrimination against us at this location. They did not prioritize us at all. And the fact that they tried to put the blame on...
Read moreWent to this Dennys and asked for a table for 10 but we were denied service by an employee that I later found out he was not even on the clock anymore, I then spoke to the server that was on duty and was told they didn't have a table for 10, I asked I speak to the manager and the manage said " I only have one server and she's already busy plus the large tables are in the back and that area is already closed and we can not open it for you, the only way we can Serv you is if you guys sit in separate tables"
(I believe Denny's is know for being a 24hr diner, and should be able to accommodate any type of party at any time, this manager failed to provide us with such service, which only contradicts and defeats the purpose of being open 24hrs if customers are going to be denied service because the party is "toolarge" and it's "too late")
The male employee then stepped in and said he would have sat us down but at first he thought I looked "too high", I could not even believe he would make a comment so disrespectfull and judge mental. I was 100% sober and very aware of what I was being told.
At first when I told my friends to come with me to this Denny's a couple of them said they had bad experiences at this location before, but still came along. We spent a lot money on Uber cars just to get there (Saticoy/Reseda location), my friends and I decided to just walk away and had to spent even more money to order new Uber cars and go to your Tampa/Nordoff location, which by the way, the server did not hesitate for a second to sit us down and we were offered...
