Title: Dialog CafĆ© at Equinox SCLA ā My Second Home & The Sweetest Team š
Dialog CafĆ© at Equinox SCLA only opened in December, but it already feels like my second home. I joined Equinox recently and discovered this little gem tucked insideāand now Iām there every single day. Itās not just a cafĆ©; itās a warm hug, a smile when you need it most, and a space that truly cares.
As someone working in hospitality (at Wolfgang Puckās Spago!) while still in high school, I can confidently say: this team delivers Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasonsālevel hospitalityāand Iām not exaggerating.
The whole team is amazing. Every single person brings so much warmth, energy, and love into what they do. I want to shout out the familiar faces I see all the time:
Aurora ā the absolute sweetest
Megan - the kindest and most upbeat with lots of good vibes
Isabel ā so kind, positive, and optimistic
Ani ā the kindest GM with a heart of gold
Todd ā the most generous and genuine owner
Enrique ā always so welcoming and full of good vibes
Chef Julian - the most amazing and absolute kindest chef who delivers unparalleled food
Chef Gino - an absolute joy to talk to, always has a smile on his face cooking up exceptional food
But truly, everyone here deserves credit. This entire team makes Dialog so special.
Now letās talk food + drinks, because everything is insanely good: š„ Caesar Salad ā truly the best Iāve ever had. š³ Protein Omelet ā perfect post-workout or anytime. š„ Avocado Toast ā fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. š Strawberry Oat Matcha w/ Strawberry Sweet Cream ā my everyday treat. š Debloat Smoothie ā a forever favorite. šŗ Hibiscus Iced Tea ā my dadās go-to, and I totally get why.
You honestly canāt go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is made with intention and care, and you can taste the love in every bite and sip.
Iām counting down the days until I turn 18 so I can hopefully join this dream team.
Thank you, Dialog, for creating a space thatās more than just a cafĆ©āitās community, consistency, kindness, and heart. 5...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery poor experience here getting accosted by the young and immature Equinox staff upon entering the building.
Even with the establishment accepting my payment and a very clear āopen to the publicā sign on the sidewalk outside the front door, they ask for your id, then if you donāt have it, they demand āwell are you at least members here?ā. Eventually, they acquiesced and allowed me to pick my order up but only if I wasnāt eating there.
At the end, I asked for the staffs names, which they were unwilling to provide. They then begin covering their faces in attempt to hide their identities. I mean come on.
They claim that Dialog is the one with the protocol, and say itās a private building they can do whatever they want.
Pretty sure if I went to the other location they wouldnāt demand my id. Pathetic customer service. There are dozens of other places to get quality breakfast/coffee in the area that won't make you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFriendly staff. Itās easy to access the establishment, even inside the Equinox. While I appreciate the generous portion of the brisket breakfast burrito, I found the rice a bit crunchy and bland. They used fresh ingredientsāgive them credit. The coffee underwhelmed me, particularly the paucity of bold flavor from the beans themselves. I found the latte unduly syrupy. Management ought to consider La Marzacco KB90 machine to augment temperature management for espresso coffees. In terms of atmosphere, itās relatively anemic. The metal chairs take away from that. Inviting colors, cushier fabrics, wooden furniture, and warmer lighting would all enhance...
