Gotta say, price is pretty high up there for the restaurant's general presentation and service... and flies. That sign inside above the bathroom, the photo shown, i almost forgot where i was at. Service was only twice, to order and to serve, we were parched. Uncle had to get up to ask for water to the table. Probably more focused on closing the doors for the day. And still more than half the restaurant finishing their meals. Their IncaCola in the gold can was pretty good, but im a little biased. ColaChampagne forever!!
Oh Parking hahahaha, goodluck!
Now the food. Lomo Saltado de Carne is the fav according to the restaurant, even with a little heart in the menu. Honestly, over rated. After witnessing the carb overload of both fries and rice, having tased it, it's just Beef Fajitas in extra starches. The seafood version had just as little meats too. And i consciously say "carb overload" ordering the noodle dish. The Tallarin De Mariscos was absolutely delicious, and had plenty of seafood protiens to compliment the veggies and the noodles. It was so good, I was the only one in my family to finish my plate. Yes, offense. We also ordered Sopa de Choros, which apparently was significantly less creamier than before. Needles to say, that wasn't finished either.
Can't say i will be going out of my way to come back. If anything, seafood noodle dish to go please.
Side note if you do visit. Buy some candies from the sweet lady outside. Chamoy pops over those free...
Read moreThis review is solely based on the customer service and not on the flavor as I wasn't even able to completely order, as I had to step away disgusted by the way I was treated .. The older gentleman at the front desk isn't so gentle! As I was ordering the mans was very rude! I'm taking a wild guess and saying this was either the owner or manager because the sense of entitlement I got from him was insane I was rushed while I placed my order although there wasn't anyone behind us at the moment, I did notice some bias towards us but I shrugged It off and continued with the transaction but I abruptly stopped once I came to my senses and realized what was actually happening... I wasn't asking this person to give me free food or free anything as the way he was treating and talking to me was so rude that it made me feel like I was begging or panhandling for a meal... I canceled my order and let him know that that was no way to treat customers or even speak to them in that manner I understand that we all have bad days but that does not mean you release it on other people especially if they're in to support your small business.... It took me a while to write this review as I was looking to word it the best possible way without sounding hateful nor show any signs of malice her but and I don't mean to sound petty, definitely had to take the time and warn others about this issue in...
Read moreWe've been coming to this location for years, especially since the other Don Felix closed a few years back. That one had top notch service. Anyway to sum it up, the food here is fantastic. Flavor profiles' always there. My go-to favorite is the tallarin saltado de carne, and the hubs gets the saltado de mariscos. Both EXCELLENT!👌🏼 But damn, the service is always so horrible it's comical. Last night we ordered a side of maduros with our meal. The waiter brought out fried slices of plantains but obviously not ripe or sweet. It's as if they were cut ready to be made into tostones, but tried to pass them off as sweet plantains. We know our food. When the waiter asked us how is everything my husband said the maduros we ordered don't taste like maduros and aren't sweet. His response was oh that's probably because they are not maduros and walked away. I'm telling you, so bad it's comical. We basically took this item off the bill ourselves from his tip. Trust me, this isn't the first time the service was bad, but think will be the last. We'll stick with Mario's Peruvian on the Hollywood side from now on. More of a dive due to the size, but the food is also excellent and the service is better. Shame on you Don Felix. Train your waiters better, and clean your restrooms while you're at it for...
