El Borrego De Oro Restaurant #1 — Restaurant in Los Angeles

If I could rate this place a Minus 100 I would! I've been eating here since January 2020 when I moved into the neighborhood. I was overwhelmed to find such an authentic "real deal hollyfied" Mexican restaurant! You only get food like this from someone's mother believe me! I go there today and there's a different staff, so I ask the man if it's new ownership and he says No. With my order I ask for chips and he gives me some real lame excuse why they don't make them anymore. My burrito was pure Garbage, salty as hell, wrapped by someone that's NEVER made burritos before in their life! And the green artificial salsa looked liked something from another planet! My mother in law and I were around the area looking for something to eat. we saw this place and decided to give it a try . Went in, sat down, and looked at the menu, and my mother in law quickly realized they had food from Puebla. We ordered 4 sopes and a quesadilla . OMG, that first bite says it all it was made with fresh masa aka( resien echa ) it was ssoooo GOOD . We both starred at each other. We were like, "This is our new spot ." I got an asada one chicken and one barrbacoa sope, and all of them we so delicious . I'm definitely coming back with my husband to try other items on the menu . But it's your nearby. My co worker and I went here on our lunch for the first time. They took forever to take my order and twice longer to take his. They then took a really long time to make our food. I then got my food and they forgot about my shake so I had to wait til they made it.. They seemed mindless, all of them. Their food is over priced for something I can make at home!!! I could have gone to king taco and paid less and got a satifying torta.. they only put One thin slice of carne asada. It was sad. No way I will never go back there.. I gave them a two because even though they took forever and killed a good amount of time of my lunch,shake was good. Expensive none the less, i could have made more then one at home...
