Read moreNostalgia at its finest! Pioneer chicken is like one of those places that was just a part of your childhood. I have been wanting to come to this location since I saw a post on IG, it was maybe a year or 2. I honestly thought there was no more in existence. My career took me to Los Angeles and it so happens this spot was on my way home 😉. Of course I had to try it and see if it was like I remember. Side note, I could t quite put my finger on the flavor, texture and look of the chicken but once I received my order, it was like going back in time. I ordered the 2 piece dinner, which comes with 2 pieces of chicken, a side of your choice, a biscuit and a drink. The chicken was a hot and juicy with a golden crispy orange, some say this is the original orange chicken lol. The mashed potatoes had chicken gravy, which went well with the meal. I wasn't too pleased about the biscuit, it was dry, bland in flavor. I have visited here several times since my first and ordered the 2 piece basket instead of the dinner. It is just 2 pieces and a side. All in all I will be back and will hope they open locations close to my area (Inland Empire). The parking is a shared space and is limited but I have had ease in parking the different times I went. Restrooms are available on the outside of the building. There is handicap parking and access. Vegetarians/ Vegans probably no options for you here but your welcome to join us 😜. Stop here usually when I work west of the location on my way home from work, as I did...
