Hopia Like It — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I've been a fan since hubby brought back a batch home during pre-pandemic days. And now that we had a reason to come to the area, this was a stop I definitely wanted to make! I loved the hopia here, it was light, flaky, and fluffy, and the fillings were sooo flavorful!!

They also serve the following, but we'll have to try when we go back to the SFV: • Breads & Snacks/Merienda • Refreshing Drinks, Halo-Halo, & Coffee • Also serving Filipino Specialty Dishes (Cebuchon, Kalesa Fried Chicken, Crispy Pata), All Day Breakfast, Filipino Appetizers, Lunch Plates, & Noodles.

We regularly come back to Hopia Like It especially when we crave for their Ube Hopia. We always love it when we come exactly when the fresh batches are out - although, you’ll have to be careful as the inside filling may be hot.

Another food that we like here is their Halo-Halo and Ensaymada. They also have decent Sans Rival cake if you’re into that.

One food that deserves its own paragraph is their Tapsilog. It is one of the best Tapsilog I had in the US and, man, this will surely remind you of home. I always forget to take a photo of this food item because it’s that good that I always accidentally dig in right away when I open the food container.

I would recommend this 100% to everyone and hope...

If a customer comes in and you're helping someone you could at least say we would be right with you or just call someone to help you. I could see the customer before. me was ordering a lot after I saw 7 dozen boxes of Hopia and she was still ordering. I was never acknowledged for being there and I almost left but someone came out from the back and ask me what would I like so I just ordered 1 dozen hopia and ordered my food somewhere else. The employee who ignored me ( big boned guy) is probably related to the owner since everytime I go there and buy something he's always working. Good Hopia though. CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE TREATED EQUALLY . It doesn't matter if you're are buying just 1 dozen...
