Man this place is a gem for sure. From the moment you open the door to go in you are immediately welcomed by the owner. He is sooo nice and has a great sense of humor to make you enjoy your meal as well. My girlfriend and I found this place randomly but do not regret the experience at all. The food was great. We had a chicken soup to start but not your typical chicken soup. This soup had flavorrrrr. We also had the vegetable samosa and garlic naan which did not disappoint at all. Our main courses were Lamb Vindaloo and the infamous Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were excellent and packed with delicious flavor. The heat level was spot on too. Not too spicy and not too mild. For dessert we were kindly gifted some pistachio ice cream by the owner and we ordered a delightful mango lassi which is a drink similar to a mango yogurt Overall the experience was great and we will definitely come back to try new dishes. Thank you for a great dinner!

OMG, I absolutely love love love this place! It was our first time here. Saleem was amazing! He answered all my questions and was ready with suggestions. (I appreciate that) We had a beautiful spread of such aromatic dishes. We are definitely scheduling a monthly visit here. The ambiance, food, and service is on point. I wish more places where this good!! 💕😋🙌 (Sorry about my picture quality, I was more focused on enjoying everything)

Really really really good! We loved it! We ate so much I am surprised I can breath. The food was made fresh and the bread nan was perfect! The prices are reasonable and the location is nice with parking on the rear! We had the mixed appetizers, fried rice, mushrooms , and chicken vindalo. The customer service was really good too! The waiter was nice to us and made recommendations and checked on us to make sure we were good .

I've been to this place several times and it's always outstanding. If you only get take out, you're missing out because the customer service here is phenomenal. You're always treated like a valued friend and the staff is exceedingly friendly and personable.

And the food? My absolute favorite Indian spot in L.A., hands down. I love me some chicken tikka masala and theirs is excellent- I've tried all three spicy levels and even the hottest one has great flavor beyond the heat. The samosas, both vegetable and meat, are delicious. The lamb coconut curry is so tender. Typically I HATE tamarind sauce at Indian restaurants, but I very much enjoy theirs at Masala House.

I can't recommend this place highly enough.

1/21/2023 Edit: We just had a birthday party for my GF here and I had to update my review. I wish I could add another star! The last time I was there I talked to the owner Saleem about having a party there for 25 people. He said to just call him a day or two ahead. Being a little paranoid I called two weeks before, planned out a fixed menu and got an estimate. I went in the week before the party to pay for it, and he called the day before the party to confirm. As always, the food was fantastic- many of the guests told us later that it was the best Indian food they'd had, and would definitely be going back.

The service was again, stellar. Two of my friends are gluten intolerant; when Saleem brought out the naan bread and offered it to them, and found out they couldn't have gluten, he went back and returned with some gluten free option just for them. Similarly, when we were serving the birthday cake and he offered them pieces, and they declined, he said "everyone should have something for dessert, let me bring you some pistachio ice cream."

The food is always great here, but I'm telling you, the level of service and human warmth from the owner is just on a whole other level. A truly kind and decent man that deserves for this place...

Allow me to begin by saying that this is a completely unsolicited review. I am giving it selfishly because the food was so delicious I want to make sure they stay in business a long time so that I can continue coming here for years to come.

I love Indian cuisine and consider myself a connoisseur. Being from New York my standards for international cuisine are very high. Masala house has only been open for about a week now but I can say without hesitation it is some of the best Indian food I've had in Los Angeles to date. The Chicken Tikka Masala was perfect! The Sag Dahl was wonderfully spiced and the Eggplant Bharta texture and flavor was divine. Oh, and the veggie samosas were the most flavorful I've had in a long long time.

The service was far above standard. Do your self and your palate a favor and come taste the flavors. Truly wonderful food and experience!

-update- Sometimes I order from here 2-3 times a week, it never disappoints. And don't believe the Yelp rating, this joint is 5-stars, they're just being squeezed by the yelp mafia, all the bad reviews are from people without names who are likely jealous competitors. I've personally tried complaining about the BS reviews but yelp...
