Excellent selection and prices — we enjoy the selection of fresh vegetables, fruits, teas, coffees and oils. The freshly made bread is excellent as well. Only negative would be the extremely challenging parking dynamics, but it is what it is and we would highly recommend. Jan 25, 2025 - quick update: one of the best features of the market is the freshly baked bread. However, for some reason, they have completely changed the process for making and providing fresh bread to customers -- specifically, there is now almost zero inventory and ordering/receiving bread is now chaotic and very unpleasant as there is no organized process flow (imagine a deli or meat counter with huge demand and no management of customer orders). I don't say this as a criticism, but simply an observation because it seriously detracts from an otherwise great experience.
Update 4.18.25: Huge kudos to the ownership, management and staff. They have significantly refreshed the interior and layout of the store -- wider spaces, much less clutter, and even a refreshed look to the checkout area. Perhaps too much information, but the remake has also substantially improved the customer bathrooms with new fixtures and a newfound focus on cleanliness. I would describe this as Stage 2 of a welcome overhaul of a great shop (stage 1 being the restoration of common sense process flow in the sagnok department). Perhaps this last bit would be a bridge too far to suggest, but the "final frontier" for Sabzee would be fixing the exasperating (and frankly dangerous) Tetris-like parking situation, but that may be beyond...
Read moreI go there to buy sangak bread and pick up few other things , my question from the owner who will read this is (why would the cashier ring up apples for $1.99/lb that are marked for .89 /LB?? and there is a scan labeled also on each apple!! may be in the hope that customer wouldn't catch it?!!! that's the only thought that comes to mind!! I bought them apples and if I wasn't looking at the screen of charges while she was ringing I would have paid more than twice the price of whats marked,!! what I dont understand is the apple were all marked with the label and number code! so I said to the cashier wait a minute the apples were .89/lb and then she erased it and put the correct amount per pound! I think I bought 7 pounds. but not until she had to ask me ( the customer ) "again" what that price was!!! seriously??!!!! so were there others who got overcharged with out knowing that they were overcharged?? some people drive a distance to get there like myself and most people don't check the screen or even remember the price, at the register, and if you have big quantity of item then its nearly impossible to remember what those prices were, which brings me down to legal issues. I am sure the owner would not want to see this pattern continues! so I urge people to clearly make sure you are not being overcharged! check the price and take a picture of the price by your phone as you shop if you can't remember the price or have a heavy load of shopping. so you would not get...
Read moreAfter finishing work, feeling tired around 5:30 p.m., I went to Sabzi Market to buy some bread. They told me that the Taftoon bread would be ready at 6:00. I placed my order, and the baker said he would remember it. I walked around the store for a bit, and at 5:45, I noticed that the Taftoon was being baked, so I went to get my order. However, he didn’t give me the bread, while other people who were there received theirs and left.
I thought maybe they didn’t take reservations and that the usual process was to wait in line. But even though I was in line, he still gave bread to others who came after me. When I complained, he said those people were before me — which they clearly weren’t! When it was finally my turn, he increased the oven’s flame, burned the bread, and tried to hand me the burnt one. I told him I didn’t want it because it was burned.
He didn’t say anything out loud, but his attitude and behavior were extremely rude and disrespectful. What surprised me the most was that when I told the store manager, he defended the baker instead of addressing my concern. I’m honestly disappointed that even here in America, some Iranian stores still treat customers the same way as they do...
