My wife and I loooove Just What I Kneaded (the pop tarts are insane; the crunch wraps are a MUST!) and Justine's Wine Bar (all around one of our favorite date spots), but I'm writing this review specifically to rave about the amazing and most perfect wedding cake that Kneady Cakes/ Just What I Kneaded created for our wedding day!

Our cake was vegan and gluten free - we wanted gluten free since my mother is celiac (she was very grateful for a GF cake and she loved it!). The cake was moist and delicious! We were all very impressed with the gluten free option - There honestly was no difference in the gluten free and the regular cake. And it felt "lighter" to eat!

We opted for a lemon cake with lemon custard and raspberry jam on the bottom layer and chocolate with raspberry jam filling on the top layer. It was insanely delicious and beautifully decorated with frosting succulents to match the desert theme of our wedding. The Kneady Cakes team packaged it carefully and it was sturdy + easy to transport in an insulated box all the way to Joshua Tree.

We had a wonderful time with our cake tasting, which consisted of trying cake samples via 6 different flavors of cupcakes accompanied with jars of jam and custards. It was difficult to choose, but we're so happy with our decision!

The lower layer of our cake was 8" and the top was 6". We were able to cut about 30-40 slices, easy. For a 15 person wedding, it was a perfect amount for everyone to enjoy a few slices + we had extra to freeze for our anniversary. Everyone LOVED the cake (they are still raving about it!) and it was a highlight of the post-ceremony celebration! We are SO happy to have purchased our cake from Kneady Cakes.

We can't recommend getting a wedding cake(s) from Kneady Cakes enough! Worth every penny. We'll be back for birthday cakes in the near future. We are lucky to have such a fantastic bakery and such an amazing team of...

Yikes. I loved this place initially because the food and vibe are so good. However, I have a very big problem with how they have set up their online ordering system. They will not take phone orders, fine, however when you do a phone order it FORCES you to use Google pay which then adds your card to your Google account with no way to remove the card. I had to call my bank and cancel my card. I'm not sure I will go back. Update: I had to knock the food down because I ordered the vegan crunchwrap supreme for $14; last time it was amazing and huge and worth it. This time it's literally the smallest quesadilla ever, about a tablespoon of meat, no beans and a sprinkle of cheese. Where is the consistency? Also $14 is very steep for literally the equivalent of a single street taco worth of food.

Update: I reviewed the comment from the owner and would like to add some things I left out. I actually ordered 6 cinnamon rolls as well as the crunchwrap and my order also included another pastry so I actually paid a total of $80 for this order. After I got home, I did call the restaurant and complained and also asked for a refund for the pastry because it did not make it to the bag. I understand new employees or off days but if I'm going to spend $80 at a restaurant I do expect a certain level of care going into my order. I also never received my promised refund for the item I did not even receive; and caring for small businesses I did not go to my bank as I could have. I do not mind paying a premium for vegan food and do it often, which is why I was saying the crunchwrap I received was not worth what I paid (two tortillas, a tablespoon of meat, a sprinkle of cheese, that was it). The fact that it was not handled by the store immediately or at all and resulted in a negative review is not simply because I am trying to damage a...

It's a very cute cafe and it's truly is it's namesake. I heard they have good coffee, but they don't have any half and half or real cream so just be ready for nut milk or milk. (Might as well have black coffee bc my coffee was still brown) But they make up for it in the baking because you have never had treats like this! The cinnamon roll is richer than getting treated to a huge birthday cupcake. "Is that all for me?" -"Yes, you!" They even offered to warm it up and when it arrived, people from every table had something to say when they saw it. One man almost traded me his newborn child! (I should have took him up on the offer because that child was super cute but we decided to stick with our original circumstances and I know that my stomach will look like I just had this baby after eating this treat anyway.) Even my friend decided that she really wanted to try some of it when she finished her cake. I didn't want to be stingy- especially because I was indulging on so many calories. Maybe her fork invasion was doing me a favor. It's perfect for a good conversation, because there's a lot of roll to unravel and plenty frosting to spread and dip. The dough balances crustiness and chewyness so perfectly-ya hear me? You Knead this! Actually, I don't want the whole world to come because it's a cozy no- line mellow music outdoor den just for chill people enjoying catch- up life talks and sipping something hot over the most delicious baking! I don't know about you but this is Just...

Delicious food, courteous and fun service. This place seems to be a hidden gem. Never would've known it was there. Kind of hidden away but lots of people know about it as it's quite busy. There was a line to order but moved fairly quickly. The staff was pleasant, made some jokes as I was ordering, and were very courteous. Food was served in a timely manner. I ordered the Crunch Wrap and a hot Vanilla Latte. My friend ordered the Chocolate Chip Cookie. Everything was delicious. The Crunch Wrap was very flavorful and tasty. Definitely recommend it. And I'll certainly return again. Parking is a bit difficult in the area as it's pretty much in the middle of a residential area and few small businneses. I happened to find decent parking on the corner as we were having an early meal around 10am but by the time we were leaving around 2pm folks were having a hard time finding parking and could hardly wait for me to move. But the eatery itself was great.
