KAOHORM KITCHEN — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Have eaten here several times in the past two years or so. Never had a complaint. Had takeout the other night however and was the WORST thai I have ever had. Had pad se ew and the noodles were not only overcooked but had a strange taste to them..almost like they had cooked something in the pan before them and the taste had remained-and it wasn't good. Perhaps a slight fish taste? There was also very little of the sauce that makes the dish so good (sweet soy or black bean depending on where you go) and the noodles were clumped together. The broccoli in the dish also had a strange perhaps powdered MSG ? flavor-didn't help the food. Sorry, it was just plain gross. Also had the crab and cheese wontons. The cream cheese inside the wontons was watery and had a congealed consistency. The entire meal was like eating something you really didn't like as a kid, just to get it down. $20 for one person. It was my nephew's return to university, and we decided to have a small celebration. The three of us visited the cozy and charming Kaohorm Kitchen restaurant for the first time, and it turned out to be a great idea! The atmosphere was very friendly. Our waitress, Smiley, greeted us and helped explain the different dishes (it had been a long time since I had Thai food). We shared a feast of delicious food: seafood soup (which I can absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys soups), spicy chicken noodles, pad Thai with shrimp, pork king, soft and tasty egg rolls, and Thai iced tea. I love KAOHORM KITCHEN!! I hosted a birthday party for 14 people and I wanted to cater some delicious thai food for the event. I messaged Kaohorb kitchen to ask about catering options through google and they responded immediately! The guy who I was messaging with was super responsive and helpful. He even checked in after the event to make sure everything went well! The food was was also delicious! We had so many leftovers that everyone got to pack a meal home :) Definitely recommended this restaurant for future events!!
