Wow!! Craving something Yummy at 11pm on a Wednesday Night and there's Nothing Taste Tempting open right now in the SCV. Krua Thai Restaurant in No Ho to the Rescue!! Got here around 11:30PM and this place is Popping!! Only 2 or 3 tables available. Service was pretty fast, considering how crowded it was. Started with the Chicken Satay which paired with their peanut sauce, toasted bread and cucumber relish was Amazing!! Next up was the Deep Fried Pork Spareribs! Now This Dish could EASILY Win an Award!! The texture and the flavor is phenomenal particularly when paired to the Sriracha Chili Sauce. By this point, our party of two was ready to start Dining on the Other Magnificent Goodness before us on their Easy to Read, Picture Plenty Menus. But wait, what is this? A Bum looking for some scraps. No worries I'll order him something to go. We all deserve good food regardless of our financial prowess, or lack thereof. Ordered the Seafood House Fried Rice, which was great! The Beef Pad See Ew, which was spectacular! The Seafood Soup which was phenomenal as it was brought to the table with a Flame in the dead center of it, keeping the Deliciousness inside at a Perfect Temperature. The Beef Jerky, was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I call it Beef Tapa as it's called at the 'Other Establishment' on Sherman Way, which happened to be Closed when I drove by. To cap off our meal, I ordered the Sweet Mango over Sticky Rice!! Our Meal Could NOT have been any better, except if they had that shredded pork that the other place tops their Hawaiian Fried Rice with. That would make Krua Thai My #1 Pick for Thai Cuisine in the Los Angeles Area. Service was Impeccable and Super Fast, as you would expect in a restaurant like this. By the time we were ready to leave there was only one older couple in the restaurant, perhaps the owners of the nearby donut shop ready to enjoy an early breakfast. All In All, I would give Krua Thai TOP HONORS with their Food and Service Across the Board! Now if ONLY we could get a restaurant even close to this in the SCV. LIFE Would be Better for Many!! Give them a Try and tell 'em I sent ya. Never mind, they dont really know me, but still Try Them Out! YOU...
Read moreNever thought I would give a one star review again. Has only happened once.
It had been a long day at work & I was in an area I didn't frequent. Was craving thai food so I found this spot. Highly reviewed so I decided to go. Google said they closed at 10pm.
I walked in and was seated right away. There was about 15 people in the restaurant who were at least halfway done with their meal or finished.
It took a few minutes for them to see me wave them down to order. I walked in @ 9 and ordered by 9:05. 2 entrees: chicken over rice & fried tofu yellow curry and a coke.
Chicken over rice comes out about 9:15. Chicken breast was dry. The rice was too dry. By far the worst chicken rice I've had.
I have not received my coke yet. My waitress shows up and tells me BTW we have no soda. 20min after I placed my order and after I got my first entree.
Tofu yellow curry comes out. The tofu is not fried, it's fresh & the potatoes were not fully cooked. This whole time the staff is running around & preparing to clean up the dining area. It's 9:30. I'm sitting eating and they are sweeping next to me and under my table.
I tell the waitress I ordered fried tofu. She says, "oh the chef turned off the wok, do you want to cancel it?"
The chef turned off the wok @ 9:05? The staff was cleaning and putting chairs up on the table by 9:30.
Will never come back here again. The worst...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Krua Thai on Sherman Way, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant's inviting ambiance and friendly staff immediately set the tone for a delightful evening.
The menu offered an impressive variety of traditional Thai dishes, and each item we ordered exceeded our expectations. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced and bursting with flavor, while the Panang Curry had just the right amount of heat and creaminess. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and it was clear that the chef takes great pride in their craft.
The service was impeccable, with our server providing helpful recommendations and ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The attention to detail and genuine warmth of the staff truly enhanced the overall dining experience.
Additionally, the restaurant's clean and well-maintained interior added to the overall appeal, making it a comfortable and inviting space to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
I highly recommend Krua Thai to anyone in the Valley Glen area looking for authentic Thai cuisine and top-notch service. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their...
