Accidental yet fortunate find! My lady and were cruising looking for a place to eat and ended up deciding on Thai so we hit Sherman Way. We end up in this plaza for another Thai spot we saw on Yelp, but when we parked we noticed this restaurant was open as well. We saw the other place was small inside, which I don't mind at all, but we chose to eat here instead and we're happy we did. There's only a few Thai places in the Valley that we enjoy and this got added to our short list. The seafood soup and their chicken pad see ew was delicious. It tasted exactly how I like it with right amount of sourness from lemongrass and perfect amount of spice. I also liked the amount of rice provided, it was plenty enough and some more.
The only thing I didn't like, the fact that they didn't have Sriracha available. Another thing I dislike and have noticed at restaurants of any scale is when they have dirty, greasy, oily, menus that they don't wipe clean. I jokingly mentioned it to our server. Once in a while they should be cleaning it. It doesn't feel sanitary holding a menu with food droppings of all kinds over it.
I want to note how speedy the food came out too. I'd usually be sketched out when food comes out in under 10 minutes, but it was delicious and we enjoyed it. Definitely would come back...
Read moreUNDER NEW MANAGEMENT— DONT GO. I’ve been ordering from this restaurant since 2016 and since ordering from their new management I will not order again. The food has gone down hill, bland and mushy. No meat in our combination rice. The manager argued with me over the phone that their quality wasn’t bad, and that I just didn’t understand my order. What wonton soup comes stuffed to the brim with rice noodles the consistency of oatmeal? Only given enough broth for 1 soup even though we ordered 2 soups. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were so bland and mushy, when it used to be very flavorful with chewy delicious noodles— not anymore!! Ordered enough to share with family in town because I loved this restaurant, and so disgusted by this experience. The soup was the last straw for me, I took 1 bite and instantly wasn’t hungry anymore. So...
Read moreUnfortunately this place is under new ownership, I didn’t noticed until they brought me the menu, we were going to walked away but we decided to try it, my friend ordered Pad Thai ($14.95)with chicken, I ordered Tom kha ($18.95) seafood, the Pad Thai was ok, only ok very simple, no peanuts, soybeans sprouts, no cilantro no nothing but the chicken, well no the same chef…ok just ok, Tom kha soup also simple, had some seafood and 2 Shrimps. No drinks, when I asked for the check, she asked me cash or card, I said card, when I saw the check they charges us $5 extra for the chicken, $5 for seafood and $5 fee for using credit card. (All these without letting us know from the beginning) the waitress has no fault so I left $8 for tip I ended up with $58.95 for a very simple...
