I really enjoy the food here. And the other time I went, I had great service, but this time, my waiter did something very unethical. He unselected “no tip” on the contactless payment. And then he put in a 20% tip for himself. Perhaps he didn’t see the cash in my hand, which was better than a 20% tip? Either way, it’s unethical. And I’m sure his coworkers are tired of him not pulling his weight. Perhaps he gets stiffed because he doesn’t provide good service. But I know that everyone shares tips and I believe in people getting paid. He got team tagged into the second shift, and the only thing we really asked him for was to possibly order dessert. He never came back to take the order. Never stopped by to see if we were ready to pay even though about 45 minutes passed. I asked a different waiter for my bill. He gave me a printout, and the guy at the counter said you can’t pay that way anymore. You have to pay your server. Fine. Fortunately, my phone immediately bounced to me the total and I had the check in my hand to see that he had selected the 20% tip. Just unbelievable. I told him that I thought it was unethical, and he ultimately apologized and agreed that it was unethical. However, I just think everyone should know that the person who calls himself Joe at this location is either trying to double dip,...
Read moreIf you're looking for a great spot for brunch, look no further than Le Pain Quotidien. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was warm and attentive. Managers were on hand to greet customers and even helped take tables' orders, which was a nice touch.
One thing that stood out to us was how happy the staff looked to be working there. It made for a really inviting atmosphere and added to our overall experience.
As for the food and drinks, we couldn't have been more pleased. We ordered a macha latte with whole milk and mint lemonade, both of which were fresh and delicious.
For our meals, we tried the breakfast sandwich on a brioche bun with a fried egg, tomato jam, cheese, and bacon. It was a delicious classic with a side salad that had a new and interesting dressing.
We also tried the breakfast bowl, which was a clean and hearty option with a fried egg over avocado, sweet potato, grains, pistachio, caramelized onions, brussel sprouts, and kale. The dish came with a slice of wheat sourdough and a piece of baguette, and we preferred the baguette.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Le Pain Quotidien and would definitely return. If you're in the area and looking for a great brunch...
