I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lemon Poppy Kitchen for a usual cup of espresso in Los Angeles after its recent remodeling, and I must say, it's an absolute gem! The charming atmosphere and cute decor instantly caught my eye as I stepped inside. The use of lemon-themed accents throughout the space adds a delightful touch. The coffee here is exceptional - rich, aromatic, and expertly brewed. I found myself savoring every sip of my latte. Their selection of pastries perfectly complements the coffee, and the lemon-poppyseed muffin is a must-try – it's moist, flavorful, and simply heavenly. What sets Lemon Poppy Kitchen apart is the attention to detail. The friendly staff adds to the warm and welcoming ambiance, making it a great spot for both catching up with friends and enjoying some quiet time. The comfortable seating and ample natural light make it an ideal place to eat, drink or relax. The recent remodeling has truly transformed this place into a cozy haven in the heart of LA. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or just looking for a charming spot to relax, Lemon Poppy Kitchen is a delightful destination. I can't wait to return for another cup of their fantastic double shot espresso and more of their scrumptious pastries. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered!

If I could put more than 5 stars, I would! Admittedly, I wanted to go somewhere else and was wary of the intricate menu with specialty food items that weren’t basic breakfast foods. However, fear not! The french toast is incredible, filling, and delicious. Truly one of the best french toasts I’ve ever had. I got full off of 1 slice, some of the chicken sausage and most of the scrambled eggs. I walked away with another meal that I cannot wait to eat! The mascarpone whip was also very delicious, I got it on the side just so I could eat however much I wanted without it being everywhere. The chicken sausage is great, seasoned well, and juicy. Eggs were nice and fluffy. As for service, we were seated quickly and the food came out quick as well. It was also easy to make substitutes. The patio space is beautiful and I recommend sitting there if there’s space/weather permits. My mom got the biscuit sandwich and she loved it. Ate every bite happily! My sister got the basic and also loved it. Would definitely recommend this place!! I hope to come back soon.

I miss Parsnip when it was at the old location on York. It was my favorite place to go: had a super cute vibe; everyone who worked there was sugar sweet; they had a map of Romania painted on the wall and visitors had signed where they had been or were from. Parsnip is now dead. The menu is super different here. Apparently it’s the same owners but the vibe is totally off. The servers were really snooty towards us; insisted that they refill our waters instead of let us have a pitcher at the table…? Made no sense. The family/Mom & Pop feeling is completely gone. Unfortunately don’t think I’ll be coming back. Maybe to pick up the chicken paprikash, which has thankfully not changed much other than the price which is almost double what it used to be. We tried some of the appetizers which were good, but it’s just not the same… I hope they re-open Parsnip on its own and re-instate the truly Romanian food. I really miss their cheese dumplings, cucumber soup, and cakes. 😩😩😩

The place looks nice and "on trend" if what you're looking for is a "scene". Being in Glassellland and all. I needed food, good fresh food as Iam costumed to. The cashier a lady with two braids helped me, but not really. Her mannerism was almost as if she didn't want to help. I ordered what I thought was a chicken burger after I found out, there was no soup, nor a veggie burger. The salad was my choice after she pointed it out on the menu. My order took 15 minutes, I know because I was supposed to be with my patient at 2:00pm. When my order was finally "done" she gave me a humongous bag, which I thought was ackward for my chicken burger and a side of "leafy greens", which caught my attention. As she gave it to me she said, there was no side with my order. I said "so what did you give me?" I opened looked in my bag and there was a big to go container with a chicken salad. I was puzzled but with mo more time to change my food to the right one, however I know what I ordered. I told her "I thought I ordered a chicken sandwich", she responded by saying there was a confusion. I spent $18.00 including the restaurant's tip for a lunch I did not ordered. I had to leave and didn't want to add a "negative atmosphere". I ate the salad and my stomach is dancing, I do not know if by the salad itself, or your energy. It does not matter how eco friendly, trendy, minimalist, and all that good stuff you want to come across. Your services speak of who you are, and the care of the food you serve impact people. We are what we eat, right? I didn't choose to go through a drive through, I paid a bit more than an average "cafe" but the service I got, was as equal or worse than any other place. The exact places I do not go to. The raspado lady, the fruit lady, the "street taco" lady take better care of their customers. I never write a review to give a business a a bad reputation, I wouldn't like that. I give this review to the cashier or owner who represents the business. Your high waist jean's, and cool Dr.Martens make you on "trend" but your attitude...

I ordered delivery from this place quite a bit a couple years ago during lockdown. I was in the area and decided to dine in. Upon arriving parking was pretty easy as it’s located in a plaza. Upon entering there is a sign that’s says “Please Wait To Be Seated.” I stood near the door for quite some time and the staff (a girl behind the counter), more specifically the main waiter (heavy set Caucasian guy with red hair) walked past me at least three or four times without uttering a word. I start looking around a bit confused as I thought I was doing something wrong. A CUSTOMER approached me and asked me if I needed any suggestions or help with the menu before the staff even acknowledged me. I asked her if I needed to order at the counter and then have a seat? (as there is a sign that says the contrary.) She said she didn’t know but the place is pretty chill (Um, okay). I went to the counter and stood there and the gentlemen finally approached as if he didn’t want to take my order or I was at the wrong place. He gave me a menu and told me to have a seat anywhere, again, contrary to the sign. His whole demeanor was rude as if he didn’t want to be there or serve me. The service could use some serious work, perhaps friendlier and more welcoming staff. The girl (same one behind the counter) who help put my order in was nice once I sat down. Once my food arrived it was pretty good and hot. The gentlemen then came around after I finished my meal and asked if I needed anything else. I told him no. I had to ask for my check and then he had the audacity to ask for a tip. I hope he’s not the manager. I will not be returning or...

I’ve never left a review of a restaurant or an item before but as I lie here licking the chocolate off my fingers from the salted chocolate ganache brownie, I had to come online and share that it was honest to god the best brownie I’ve ever had in my LIFE.

I ate at the restaurant today and had a delightful turkey & avo sandwich. But as I was leaving I grabbed two of these brownies to go. I’ve had them before and I knew they were good so I thought I’d take advantage while they had them in stock. I ate one of them and then thought I would put the other in the fridge to see if that would change things. Why not, right?

Well tonight I was looking for a little sweet treat and I pulled out that brownie and when I bit into it I swear I saw stars. Somehow it managed to be dense, rich, and chocolatey without being too sweet!! That ganache with the flaky salt is absolutely killer, and putting it in the fridge made the texture so dense and fudgy that I’ll never forgive myself for living nearly 30 years of my life without experiencing this square bundle of chocolatey joy.

Do yourself a favor and go there and eat. The food is delicious, the restaurant is cute, and the people rock. And on your way out, grab two brownies….one for the ride home, and another to stick in the fridge for a mind-blowingly delightful...
