I was excited about this place, because I adore going to Solarc Brewery and it’s a close spot for weekend coffee runs .. Unfortunately both my initial, and ‘give-it-a-2nd-chance’ experiences were lacking. First time around I got an astringent shot, which is forgivable. But when I came back to try again, I ordered a quad oat latte, cold without ice, and was served what’s in the photo. Even if it had ice, that’s an iced capp at best.

IMO, Moim is solidly in contention for best new roaster in the already collective and ever expanding Los Angeles roasting scene. At their unique popup cafe space - a shared environ with YESS restaurant - I had one of the best pour over offerings I have had this year, hands down.

Easy to find coffee in LA, but it’s difficult to find baristas that pour so intricately and great with detail like Joe at Moim. Had two awesome pour overs here that had extra attention to them during brew. Incredibly impressed. Moim is doing a good thing in LA.
