Mariscos Puerto Angel — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I see a lot of the comments claim that this place has the best mariscos in the valley???? I’m literally in shock!! Has anyone ever had good mariscos? We had the shrimp tacos, it almost reminded me of half cooked fish sticks on stale tortillas, absolutely awful. The campechana mixta was mediocre at best. No flavor, (four) pieces of shrimp and over priced. Reminded me of shrimp water with soggy veggies mixed with ketchup. To top it all off they only accept cash!! Go figure!! We only tried this place out because my sister highly recommended it! I’m taking her to mariscos El Jato so she can try what REAL mariscos taste like!! From a true foodie's standpoint, I highly recommend that you try your food before serving it! Do some research, try new recipes, be open minded. I almost left! Thank God I didn't! This is a hole in the wall and I'm glad it is..! I don't want it to get packed when i go! Lol ! but I've been gatekeeping this place too long! The shrimp tacos are bomb! The large shrimp Ceviche is real good and will make like 5 good tostadas. Ive been coming for years and noticed some "shrinkflation" on the shrimp but The Agua Chile's you can get super spicy which I love! And the a la Diabla is soo good.. a lot of places use a lot of ketchup and comes out too sweet.. not this one it has flavor a d spice!! Sorry for gatekeeping but...

This is my favorite spot for agua chiles hands down they give you the option on how spicy you want it other places don’t do that at all! I been going here for a while and I can’t believe I haven’t done a review but I always get the spicy agua chiles and then I tell them to make it even extra spicy with extra habaneros and wow! It’s the best! I’m sure they already know me because I always ask for extra spicy 😂 well today they really tried killing me with the spicy level and I love it! 🤣 I highly recommend this spot if you love really...
