My dad and I were in the area a few months back and found Miho to have the best reviews so we gave it a shot and the rest is history. Sushi is my favorite food so I appreciate great sushi when I see it. The main chef/other staff are always so kind and welcoming. The restaurant is fairly small with only 25 seats inside so you feel comfortable as if it’s a little neighborhood restaurant. I love premium sushi such as uni, toro, live scallop, and many more. Miho’s quality is unmatched. I was worried when I came the first time because some sushi places don’t have good quality premium sushi but I fell in love right away after the first bite here. The main chef gets his fish every single day fresh from the fish market. The fish tastes as fresh as possible in my opinion. My girlfriend is more of a basic sushi eater who likes the usual rainbow and crunch rolls and she absolutely loves them here! I know some people complained about the pricing here but when it comes to sushi, I believe if you’re getting amazing quality then the price shouldn’t matter. And their prices are honestly not bad at all compared to other premium sushi restaurants I’ve been to. Miho is a hidden gem in a big shopping center but I’m glad I found it because I will be a customer here for...
Read moreMy recent visit to Miho Sushi in Tarzana left me extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. From the moment I walked in, the experience was nothing short of chaotic and rushed.
To start, I ordered a miso soup, expecting a traditional and comforting bowl of soup. However, to my surprise and dismay, there were shrimp shells floating in it, something that was not mentioned on the menu or disclosed by the staff. As someone with a shellfish allergy, this was not only upsetting but also potentially dangerous.
Furthermore, the service was incredibly rushed and pushy. It felt like the staff were trying to turn tables as quickly as possible, leading to a rushed dining experience. The sushi was practically shoved onto our table, and we were urged to eat quickly. This resulted in an uncomfortable and unenjoyable meal, leaving me feeling sick and uncomfortable afterwards.
Overall, my experience at Miho Sushi was subpar, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. The lack of communication about ingredients and the rushed service were major letdowns, and I will not...
Read moreWe went into their restarant, a table for four, no one else was there except for 1 man at the sushi bar. We ordered three Toro handrolls (which are extremely small) and four bento boxes. The handrolls were because we were really hungry and couldn't wait until the bento boxes came. We waited over thirty minutes before our bento boxes came, the chef hadn't even begun making our Toro handrolls. Both the sushi chef and waitress were too busy socializing with the only other customer that was sitting at the sushi bar while we waited starving. Seriously, the sushi chef left the sushi bar and started showing him pictures on his phone. He even let the guy hold the phone while he was scrolling through pictures. When our bento boxes were ready he went back to do our Toro rolls. I didn't see him even wash his hands. We asked for the sushi chef's name four times and never got it. I seriously recommend never...
