This little diner was the right fit for our family this morning. We had just come from an event where one of our party participated in an ocean swim and it was only 3 minutes away by car. We checked and Google suggested it would have been an 11-minute walk if we had decided to walk from the beach parking. We did find a parking space in their lot just as someone was leaving. The two other vehicles in our party parked on nearby streets. This building has been added on to over the years I think and most of the seating area is in a modified patio so it was a bit toasty but the toast was good 😉. I feel like the meal was a pretty good value for today's dollar. They have an extensive list of omlets and the vegetarian omelette that I ordered was $17 and includes two sides. I chose white bread, toast and potatoes. One of the options as sides was biscuits and gravy or you can just order biscuits with butter and jam and I feel like biscuits and gravy is sort of a substantial item for a side, so that's a pretty good value. They do not have a children's menu, but they were very accommodating with recommendations on what item could be split between the two children in the party and that was a pretty good choice. They had a couple of pancakes and some eggs and bacon. They did have and we took advantage of a high chair and the atmosphere was such that we didn't feel like the kids were out of place or that our slightly soggy party member was out of place in the venue. The food was simple and satisfying. The atmosphere in the menu I would say are overall home-cooked meal on a family friend's patio, but that is the bright spot to me at this venue: how friendly and accommodating the staff were. They made suggestions, refilled coffee cups and made plenty of inquiries as to if we needed any additional items or sauces. It wasn't too crowded and in a lot of places around lunch time, you tend to feel pressured to leave with your party full of children on Sunday and I didn't feel that pressure here. It was a pleasant atmosphere for a meal and conversation...

My family visited Pacific Diner for breakfast before boarding our cruise ship. It looked like a cute little house converted into a diner with the closed in backyard serving as the main dining room. The food was good, but the coffee was great! I don't think the biscuits were homemade and they weren't fresh, but the white gravy seemed homemade and the flavor was acceptable. The hashbrowns we're thin round slices of cooked potato pressed together and fried slightly crispy. The bacon of course was good and so we're the eggs, not overcooked. The service was your average local diner service by beautiful diner waitresses...a few forgotten items and the check was incorrect, but they fixed it happily! All in All it's a great place to stop for a quick bite and experience local...

This place is always packed. I mean ALWAYS packed on the weekends when I usually want to venture out for breakfast heheh.

Food service is prompt and nice. Always really attentive even though they are really busy. Just goes to show that the restaurant prepares for the rush and has employees who can handle it. Give those guys a raise.

Go with the Machaca for breakfast its pretty good and you will definitely leave full. Ambiance is meh and really loud but if you want a good mexi- American breakfast its a nice spot.

Good for large parties but they dont take reservations so it can be very hit and miss. I have tried large groups here several times and we just end up sitting all over the place. Parking always seems to be a...

📍Pacific Diner San Pedro, CA Sometimes you have to escape Los Angeles brunch culture before someone charges you $23 for a plate of “avocado toast on ancient grains” that somehow leaves you hungrier than when you walked in. Pacific Diner in San Pedro feels like time travel—back when breakfast was meant to be greasy, filling, and actually good. No “artisanal” syrups, no oat milk lectures, no line of influencers pretending to enjoy their runny eggs for the algorithm. Just pancakes the size of hubcaps, bacon that doesn’t apologize for existing, and coffee that tastes like it’s been keeping truckers alive since the Nixon administration. If you’re tired of Los Angeles restaurants that confuse “minimalist” with “we forgot to season the food,” and brunch spots in LA that think vibes matter more than taste, this is the reset button. This is breakfast the way it used to be: hearty, affordable, and cooked without a TED Talk about sourcing. For LA foodies, this is a reminder that the best breakfast in Los Angeles isn’t always in Silver Lake or some rooftop in Downtown—it’s at a diner that still remembers what food is supposed to do: feed you. Pacific Diner is the anti-pretentious, anti-hipster, pro-bacon institution Los Angeles didn’t know it still had. You don’t come here for a scene. You come here to eat. And in a city drowning in overpriced brunch spots, that alone feels revolutionary. #foodreview #SanPedroEats #LosAngelesRestaurants #LAFoodie #LAFoodies

We appreciated the fact they were able to accommodate seating for our large group of 20+ persons. The service was not the greatest. They seemed very unorganized, a few times forgetting to bring things out. Most places will make sure kids get served first, here my 3 year old nephew was one of the last ones served. The server even had to ask what he had ordered because she wasn't sure. Unacceptable. Another nephew ordered a bowl of chili, the cheese was a slice of what looked like Kraft American cheese, not shredded cheddar cheese like most places would use. If I'm ever in that area again, it's pretty likely I won't be going there again.
