There is no doubt that their cakes are delicious. I've been coming here for over 12 years for every celebration you can think of. My most recent experience was this morning. My order was ready on time, and I parked in a spot very close by so that I could get some help with delivering the large and heavy cake (full sheet) to my car. A week prior, I came in to pay for the cake. At that time, the nice lady told me that someone would help me to my car when it was time to pick it up. So today, I was a little taken aback when the lady at the counter (different from last week) told me that helping me to the car wasn't possible because "she had a pinched nerve." She then proceeded to tell me, in a very defensive tone, all about the issues with her back. I understand back issues. I have them myself. Honestly, I really didn't need to hear them. None of my business. What I didn't appreciate though was the defensive tone in her voice, or the lack of communication in general. So, I also run a small business. I know that communication is key. If someone had just told me last week, "Hey, the day you plan to come in for pick-up, you will have to carry the cake to your car," guess what? I would have sent my husband to go pick it up. No harm, no foul. I obviously wasn't told this information (I was told quite the opposite actually), so I went myself. I ended up carrying this HUGE cake to my car, scared to death that I was going to drop it at any second. This was a graduation cake for my son's class. Imagine having dropped it a half an hour before the ceremony??? I would have had 25 crying preschoolers with their parents to answer to... After paying $220.00. Yeah, not fun. I did end up telling this lady everything I wrote above ... how there was a breakdown in communication, and that I wasn't expecting to do this. I kept a very calm and polite demeanor the entire time. Instead of an apology, or even a nicer tone, I simply got, "like I said, I have back problems." Wow. Accountability was non-existent. Apparently, this was...
Read moreCake cake cake!! My family has been coming to Rose Bakery for years! This would always be my mom's go-to spot for my sisters and my birthday cakes. To this day, we still get cakes for our kids and for special celebrations. Our family's tradition cake would always be white cake with fresh strawberries and fresh banana filling. However, they make beautiful rainbow cakes and yummy marble and red velvet cakes. Not only are their cakes delicious, but they have a great cake decorator! We always show them a picture of how we want our cakes and they never disappoint! Even though I no longer live in the valley, I still order cakes from them. If you live locally, they can deliver. Their prices are reasonable, and they do ask for a deposit. They can also make cupcakes, cookies, and other various treats. Please check them out and don't forget you can have your cake...
Read moreFriendly staff helps you pick out the perfect cake; photo cakes are a snap, and they've always been on time, even helpfully calling you to come and pick up the cake. Only two issues. The first has to do with the blue cream used for frosting; the color leaves residues to the touch, which indicates that it is not the best choice. The other issue is that the cake itself is a bit weak structurally. We were very careful when carrying it back, but on opening the box, we found the cake had slid to the side, and because our message was also on the side, that got smudged beyond recognition. Fixing these would have made it a five-star experience, but this is by far our favorite local bakery, our go-to for every occasion.
Bonus points for their excellent service when planning a cake for a gender reveal party. They didn't let any secrets out, and the cake...
