Royal Indian Tandoori — Restaurant in Los Angeles

DONT VISIT THIS PLACE I ordered Chana Saag from the menu which costs $9 as per their menu but once they came with my order they served Chana Masala which was a different dish not the one I ordered and I had to return it. They took more than 30 minutes to bring my order which was wrong. I waited the next 15 mins to get my original order.

Simultaneously, my husband and my mother-in-law ordered Chicken Biryani which literally did not look like Chicken Biryani and it was all made of excess oil and red chili. They both were shocked to see but since we all were hungry we tried to eat the food but it all tasted pathetic and looked very unhygienic that we barely ate it and left Chicken Biryani as is.

We called the waiter and complained about the food and asked for a refund. The waiter just listened and went inside and didn't even acknowledge our complaint and came with our bill. We checked the bill and noticed that they charged $12 instead of $9 for Chana Saag. When I complained about it they said that they recently updated their menu. When I asked for their new menu they did not have it. Now, we all were so much disappointed and we refused to pay the bill and asked for a manager.

The cook who apparently was the manager as well came to the counter and started yelling at us and said that we have to pay the full amount of the bill and no refund will be given to us. He also said that we should not have come to his restaurant. He was so angry while saying all this that now we started feeling threatened.

My mother-in-law and I were very afraid of his behavior and we noticed 2 other people from his staff also joined him and also became aggressive. I sensed that the situation was getting worse hence I requested the manager that he should calm down and don't take this complaint personally. He just denied and kept asking for money from us. I further requested to remove an extra $10 from the bill and agreed to pay the original bill amount as we wanted to get rid of the situation as 2 people from the staff already blocked the main entrance. Somehow, he agreed to remove an extra $10 from the bill and we paid and left the place quickly.

While we were at the parking lot we just heard that the manager was talking to his staff by pointing at us that they should have thrashed us out of the restaurant...

100% authentic home made delicious Indian food🤤 have ordered take out before, but went to dine in for the first time last week and the customer service is AMAZING! The place is pretty small, but they do have 2 tables inside, and 2 outside to dine in. This is definitely not fast food, it’s a small wait but totally worth it. You can always call ahead to place the order as well. Well while we waited for our food, Abdullah gave us some desserts to try on the house! Along with chips and and 2 amazing salsas. All the food that I have tried so far is delicious😋 the lamb curry and cheese naan are definitely my favorite! Along with the rice pudding for dessert, similar to arroz con leche. I also like that they have some kid friendly options for picky eaters, like the french fries and chicken tenders. The prices could be a bit more affordable, and the portions a little bigger. But all in all, it is definitely worth it. Good food for your soul and good people, highly recommended they will...

I called 3 times and the person acted as if he didn’t hear me. My guy friend called and ordered the food just fine, which was peculiar to me. The food was prepared on time and the restaurant did call once it was done which was nice. However we didn’t receive the yellow rice that was expected to come with our meal and instead was plain white rice. The owner also told us he gave us extra rice but that was a lie as well, considering there were only two small bowls of white rice (or unless the meal never came with rice which in that case is ridiculous for $35). We also didnt receive any utensils or napkins with our meal. The chicken tikka Marsala and garlic naan was 7/10 overall and I’ll probably won’t be telling my friends about this place. Biggest and possibly only plus is that this place is less than 5 mins away. Place was very small too so if more than 3 people were there, it’d be cramped. Tread...
