The moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a smiling helpful woman who answered all of my questions with patience and kindness.

We had a slightly odd photo that we wanted put on the cake (a YouTube screen shot of a viral video) and we were worried the image would not be high enough quality. But she just told me to email it to her and when I ran out to get cash (cash only establishment) she had already uploaded the photo to check it for quality and assured me it'd work just fine.

Awesome. Great. But then there is the whole part about the cake being good. I've ordered cakes that have looked great and tasted store bought. But this cake!!!! Was. Amazing. Seriously. One of the best tasting cakes I've ever had. It was SO moist. And the custard filling was a perfect combo to the marble cake. The icing was delicious too. Often times I find icing too sweet and scrape most of it off. But theirs was not too sweet at all. It was soft and fluffy and delicious.

so i ordered a custom cake to have a photo on the top on wednesday 5/14 for saturday 5/17. i confirmed over the phone and email and thinking we’re good.

i show up for pick up and they forgot to put the photo on. she said it’ll take a few minutes and i’m on a time crunch. and then they ask what kind of trimming i wanted which i had no idea because they didn’t ask for that over the phone. i tell them to just give me white and then they do red.. a color i didnt ask for.

all in all, what was supposed to be a fast pick up ended taking much longer because the cake was not nearly done. there was nothing on it. i understand bakeries are busy, but just makes me think why order and confirm over the phone and email if they can’t get it right?

This place is awesome. The cake was delicious, they delivered exactly what they said they would. You're not going to get a super fancy cake necessarily, but I think it was just the right price point for what we wanted. As a Chinese American, the cake definitely passed the "not too sweet" test.

The only issue I had with them was, when trying to get a custom order placed, it seemed like there was some confusion between the woman who took my order and the man who followed up about the order asking for the same exact information. I think it was a language issue (English didn't seem to be his first language). Might be ideal to visit in person if you can to confirm everything.
