A friend and I went to Sōgo in Highland Park on a Wednesday around 7:15pm, even though it was busy but they were able to sit us at the counter right away. We started with a generous bowl of hot edamame, cucumber salad (yum!) and the baked crab crispy rice (must-try, soo good). For hand rolls, we had the snapper, salmon, yellowtail (omg), spicy tuna, and albacore (my fav), plus an unagi cut roll to share. Finished dinner with strawberry and mango mochi ice cream 😍
They also have a comprehensive list of sake organized by flavor profile. Our server, Cley recommended the Masumi “mirror of truth” which was amazing. He was super friendly and helpful throughout our meal :)
Overall loved the vibe here, great for a date or any night you’re craving some sake and hand rolls. Definitely a new favorite spot and can’t wait...

Just keep that in mind if you’re coming with a dog!
The crispy rice, and donburi are amazing. And the service is so friendly and kind. So happy they’re in the...

The sushi was fresh and beautifully prepared, and you can tell they really care about the quality of ingredients. Everything felt thoughtful but unpretentious. Great vibes, great food; I'll ’ll...
