York Park — Attraction in Los Angeles

Amazing amazingly cool little Park in the middle of Eagle Rock. Can get a little sketchy after dark, but actually a very cool place to take kids as the entire park is gated, and there's lots of really cool climbing structures and one shaped like a tree, it's shaded, there's a lending library, and even various large-scale musical instruments. All of the parents there are really friendly as well and generally look out for each other. Despite the neighborhood being a bit iffy, this park itself is securely gated so there's no chance of little ones escaping or getting out unnoticed. Also, right across the street is an awesome little cafe for coffee, a few other cool little shops and cafes, and usually parked right outside this little Park is a truly awesome taco truck with outstanding food and really great prices. Honestly a great park...

Nice little conversion of what was long since what seemed to be and for quite some time was just an old run down abandoned gas station.

What's known today as York Park is a miniature yet beautified modern day play park aimed for the youth with an assortment of book donations and clean all-gender restrooms accessible to all that attended. Not uncommon to catch a late night exercisers here after hours, mainly drunks from across the street as bars close out; yet harmless individuals mainly just trying to sober up or kill some time as they wait for their food truck orders to be fulfilled.
