I came in on an uneventful Monday morning, looking for a breakfast burrito. The place had pretty good reviews and I lived right down the street, so why not? I was not prepared for the amount of sheer gratitude I was about to get.
I walked inside and met Royce. I knew his name immediately because he had a name tag that was digital and flashing. As I gave my order, Royce's boundless energy hit me like a wave. I dont think I've ever met anyone so energetic and genuinely ecstatic in the service industry as Royce was. As he took my order he was practically bouncing off the walls, as if each order was the sole reason why his kids would be able to go to college. In the short time we got to talk, he confided how much he genuinely loved the area and was so happy to be a part of servicing the community. That was more than enough to get me to become a repeat customer.
But if that wasn't, then the food by far won me over. It is rare to find a properly seasoned breakfast burrito, and they did it with such mastery I was kicking myself for not getting two. For taste and value, this spot gets my vote every time. I've found my new favorite breakfast spot. Thanks Royce, see...

The owner is so accommodating, kind and respectful! I placed an order for a dozen plus breakfast burritos and breakfast plate and they had it ready within 45 minutes. The bags were hot when I picked them up so everything was fresh and yummy.
Be patient, as it's a smaller mom and pop shop so it's not riddled with employees. You can tell how much they care about their food just by looking at their responses to these reviews.
It's at a great location for a quick and delicious grab and go before you hit the airport and their ridiculous prices for a "decent meal".
The breakfast burritos are huge and delicious and I just saw a photo of the french toast so I'll probably order that before I leave the city.
The Korean influences in some of their dishes is a +++ for me and my crew. Thanks again so much for taking such great care of all...
Read moreHungry for a burger after one of my occasional visits to Fry's in Burbank, I was pleased to find the nearby Sam's Char Burgers. As I walked in I was greeted by a loud "HELLO!", bellowed by a small Asian man* standing next to the grill. Scanning the diverse menu, which includes both tacos and Korean BBQ, I decided to stick with my original idea and ordered a cheeseburger with fries. And a good, simple burger it was. A thin patty, surrounded by fresh produce, inside a nice soft bun. Nothing fancy, but I wasn't looking for something fancy. The fries were properly cooked, a little on the toasty side. Burger and fries, about $5.*As I was eating, this man, whom I assume is the owner, would greet every customer in the same manner, at the same volume, no matter how close they were. This led to several startled looks, followed by...
